When I was young and single I enjoyed watching Kimmel and Corolla on the Man Show. I could watch busty women in skimpy outfits jumping on trampolines all day long back then. But I eventually matured beyond that. Good on Kimmel for doing the same. But his political commentary these days is despicable. He probably fancies himself a conscientious deep thinker just like every other leftist does, but his hedonistic past just may get him cancelled one day if he runs afoul of the wrong people.
Both are sphincters. I think that counts as devolution.

Howard Stern was funny on terrestrial radio where he had a talent to push the show as far as he could confined by fcc rules. I heard it on satellite and it was terrible. Just vulgarity for the sake of vulgarity. I never saw anything from Jimmy Kimmel.
For probably the funniest Howard Stern bit look for “Gary the Retard Vs Beetlejuice in battle of the wits.”
Second funniest. “Beetlejuice at the porno awards.”

Just expressing my personal opinion about humor, which is, by nature, personal.
Why would you judge conservatives’ humor by Gutfeld? He’s not even culturally conservative. Greg Gutfeld is not funny. He guffaws and screams He uses scatological humor but in a bad way. Not funny.
So we actually agree - at least, on Gutfeld?
I freely confess that I have had very little exposure to conservative humor. I think that Gutfeld is the only example I have seen of conservative humor in recent times.
Can you recommend someone else whose work I should see?

Howard Stern was never funny or interesting. Jewish potty joke humor is banal.
Jimmy Kimmel was funny on The Man Show. He was a different guy and looked like someone you’ll have a beer with. That was before he became woke.

I have never seen a single episode of "Frazier" or "The Nanny," but have binge-watched "Brooklyn 99" and "Parks & Rec."
"Brooklyn 99" became rather "preachy" in its later seasons, if not overtly political - I suppose that that is why you referred to the old "Brooklyn 99," right?
"Parks & Rec" was "woke" and "preachy" right from the start.
So I really don't understand your recommending these shows to me.

Conservatives separate culture and leisure from politics.conservatism is a historic tested and proven way of life. Leftism is an ideology.
Conservatism does not seek to spread itself. Leftism dos try to spread. It uses culture to do so. Conservatism does not need culture to spread or to preach.
You are now actually affirming my original statement, which was: My working hypothesis is that Conservatism, by its very nature, can’t be funny.

You get no argument from me here, on this point! We are in agreement.
But in your initial response to my first post, you seemed to have the opposite stance. You namely challenged me to provide examples supporting my "working hypothesis" that Conservatism wasn't funny.

I have one of the sharpest senses of humor on the planet and I can tell you that conservatives, and I am one, have the BEST sense of humor.
And I am old enough to see that the LEFT has drifted in to “mean” land where humor ceases to be FUNNY and becomes just plain mean.
Let me expand:
Howard Stern is NOT funny.
Bob Newhart is funny.
Archie Bunker is NOT funny.
Mel Brooks is funny.
Rob Reiner is NOT funny..
His father Carl, was funny.
There is a difference and I am proud to say that since my handle is “Maris Crane” I am proud to say that Frasier was FUNNY.
Conservatives have a sense of humor that is NOT MEAN.
