Longtime NBC News broadcaster Brian Williams issued a strange warning Thursday as he retired from his 11 p.m. MSNBC show.
"The reality is though, I will wake up tomorrow in the America of the year 2021, a nation unrecognizable to those who came before us and fought to protect it, which is what you must do now," Williams said. "They’ve decided to burn it all down with us inside. That should scare you to no end as much as it scares an aging volunteer fireman."

He must be referring to Trump and Trump supporters.
America is unrecognizable because of loopy liberals like him aiding and abetting both Fabian “slow March through the institutions” socialists and now, out of the closet revolutionary communists who have been hellbent on destroying the very institutions for which he claims to be for.
Hence his reference to the darkness at the edge of town moving inward rather than the cultural rot that has long been a hallmark of liberal-run cities.

It is one of the most curious commentaries I’ve seen recently. It makes you wonder if it’s actually straying from the narratives, or maybe it just seems that way.
He probably was attacking Republicans. I especially thought that when he mentioned school boards. Yet when he brings up people with college degrees, that would suggest to most people the liberal elite.
Exactly! To leftists, it is always someone else’s fault. I learned the following phrase in war college. ‘No drop of water ever thinks they are responsible for the flood.’
This phrarse fits perfectly to the leftist williams. He will take no responsibility for his part in spreading said darkness.
Selective amnesia. He is being vague, though, making me wonder if deep down he knows who has destroyed everything but still wants to attend liberal parties and be stroked by liberals so he cannot bring himself to speak the truth. More likely angry that the media’s carefully constructed illusion that we even have functioning constitutional government is falling apart because people just can’t keep pretending to see what has rotted away from years of neglect and institutional theft. He unknowingly perfectly describes the year 2020, rather than 2021, when mobs were running amok burning down city centers, looting, and destroying cultural icons while his friends tried to paint mobs of villains as heroic.
What’s he gonna do now? Maybe host a new “To Tell the Truth “show?

Excuse me Brian, but when MSNBC assigned you to the 11pm slot, they were telling you something. So you aren't really retiring. You're leaving and no one will notice.
