Nearly two fewer weeks of ice coverage on Minnesota lakes also means a shorter season for ice fishing,

But a two week longer season for regular fishing...

The global temperature has gone up .01deg.

...shorter season for ice fishing, cross-country skiing and other outdoor activities, impacting the millions of dollars spent on winter recreation statewide each year.

Well then, we MUST spent $20 trillion right now to stop climate change. I'm convinced!

Articles like this amaze me. They always trot out "it's going to cost industry X so many millions of dollars" as if that is going to convince the feeble minded to give up all freedoms, send 90% of their paychecks to Fedzilla, and live in penury like the proles in 1984.

If it is colder than normal it is due to climate change.

If it is warmer than normal it is due to climate change.

If it is the same as normal it is due to climate change.

We are dealing with non-falsifiability here--classic cult-think.

Notice how when ice shrinks the headlines are blaring. Yet when ice grows nary a peep.

Good.

Warmer climate means lower heating costs and longer growing seasons, resulting in greater food production.
