Democrats are fueled by the mere prospect of gaining more control and power instead of what’s actually most helpful to working Americans.

What's his FR name?

Any politician that cries against partisanship or for bipartisanship is squishy, whether left or right in their political philosophy. I do not vote for my representatives to be bipartisan. I want them to fight relentlessly for conservative policies. That makes them partisan. It should be a badge of honor. My opinion goes way down when they compromise and lose. Most Republicans are clueless when it comes to how to compromise. For instance, if you want to cut spending (like anyone wants that anymore) by 10% your starting point is 30%. You compromise to get the 10% and win.

Democrat to Independent.

Will he be an Angus King Democrat or someone more to the Right of Sinema? That is the question. I have a very hard time accepting that someone that has been pulling the lever for the Democrats and the Left for any length of time will change all that much.

The country is so divided right now. Beyond repair, IMHO. You really cannot have it both ways. You can’t be a Liberal on social issues and Conservative on fiscal issues. The two are intertwined to the point where you have to make a choice.

Perfect example, for me, Immigration. And by that, I’m not talking about the cheap labor/amnesty express, a al Graham, Rubio, and the rest of the Chamber of Commerce puppets. I mean, a wall, since you can’t shut down the refugee/visa pipeline completely(unfortunately)-you limit it so much and make it so hard that it becomes almost non-existent, remain in Mexico for your hearing and your reasons for asylum are narrowed to almost nothing you enact all the other things most that want strict(if not elimination of) immigration policies.

You can’t have it both ways. Name a policy and you’re either for a “True Conservative” implementation of that policy or you’re for a “Liberal/Leftist” version of it, which will be an unmitigated disaster, as has been proven time and time and time again.

I'm guessing he didn't announce as a Republican then.

I don’t believe that info is in the article. But that is the $64,000 question. If he continues to caucus with the Left, then it’s all grandstanding.

If he goes to the other side of the aisle, then he’s legit. We’ll know when some new legislation pops up and who he votes with.

Not a single person, other than a hardcore Leftist, can agree with what is going on in this country right now. The line in the sand has been drawn. No other way around it.

Democrats are Democrats first.

Being an American is way down on their list.

“Partisanship is a virus that’s ripping our country apart.”

We can admit him into our party, such as it is, when he learns to stop such grievous mixing of metaphors.

Not impressed.
For every politician ever, both Partisan and Bipartisan politics are acceptable as long as it works in their favor.
When it doesn't, then it's suddenly bad.

Thanking the Lord for bringing this man to the truth and for publicly speaking out the reasons.
