Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has accused stores of not taking adequate measures to prevent themselves from being victims of crime.
During a crime summit on Monday at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Lightfoot said she was disappointed with stores on Michigan Avenue, a popular shopping and tourist destination. She said they were not making security a priority and taking adequate measures to prevent theft.

The mayor needs to spell out EXACTLY what she means by “adequate measures”. Otherwise, she’s just speaking more empty blame-the-victim nonsense.

Hanging criminals from the lamp post maybe a good start, right mayor. It would act as a warning to other criminals to steal from other areas. Bonus at this time of year, the stores could decorate with Christmas Ornaments to set a festive mood for the shoppers 😂

A town where I grew up was into illegal gambling and prositution run by the mob (not Italians) back in the 50’s to 70’s.
You could walk dow the street at 1 am with money hanging out of your pockets because Big Bill Lias and Paul Hankish ran off the criminals who would attract police scrutiny-though most of the cops were on the mobs payroll.
