Graham: Nord Stream 2 Should Be Sanctioned Even if Russia Doesn’t Invade, We Shouldn’t ‘Reward’ a ‘Destructive Force’

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) pushed for sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline regardless of whether or not Russia invades Ukraine

Graham said sanctioning Nord Stream 2 regardless of whether or not Russia invades “would be a great thing to do. It would bolster the case in the eyes of Russia that there will be a price to be paid. … Why would you give Putin a reward when he’s done nothing but be the most destructive force in central Europe? So, the Biden approach is to coddle and reward people no matter what they do.”

If that’s the “choice” then game theory says there is no difference in cost to either decision, so Russia might as well invade.

For the life of me I cannot understand why it would be in AMERICA’S NATIONAL INTEREST to interfere with how Russia markets and distributes its natural gas. We have enough problems of our own!

If Little Lindsey wants to tackle a real problem, he should address the continuous invasions happening on our southern border.

The pipeline is completed and it benefits Germany. We really have no say in the matter at this time.

Leave Russia alone and focus on our pipelines. In a time of crisis, if Russia cuts off oil, at the least we can export some to alleviate the choking.

Even more, the term America’s National Interest has lost any and all meaning. I don’t even use that metric anymore. I ask if it’s in the interest of my family and me. I assume that if any of our leaders actually DO anything in my interest, someone screwed up.

No wonder everybody hates Republicans. It’s hard to get the message out that these globalists are not us - they are usurpers and hijackers of the conservative cause. Sticking an (R) after your name is much easier than actually working for a constitutional government.

Listen to the lies Nulans told to Congress recently. According to her, the future of the American way of life is about to get decided in Ukraine.

That is of course to cover the failure her regime change was, where Ukraine now has 10 million people suffering from hunger, that is in 21st century Europe.

Nobody is forcing the Europeans to buy natural gas from Russia. The Europeans made themselves dependent on Russia.

Graham is a globalist.

From his twisted perspective every “nook and cranny” on the globe, is part of the American National Interest.

His foreign policy positions are insane.

I waited 20 years for an explanation of why we were in Afghanistan from Democrats and liberal Republicans. I’ve been waiting about half that long for an explanation of their constant tumescence for provoking unnecessary conflict with Russia. I’m not casting any more votes for tools of the military-industrial complex, no matter which party’s mask they wear.

Most of all he likes TV cameras in his face.

He really is a dumb ass.

Cut off the Russian gas? And Germany and France freeze and some die? How to make lasting friendships?
