China warns nations will 'pay price' for Olympic boycott

China has warned countries who have announced a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics that they "will pay the price for their mistaken acts".
The US, UK, Australia and Canada will not send government representatives to the Games because of concerns over China's human rights record.
Chinese state media claimed on Wednesday that Beijing "never planned to invite US and Western politicians who hype the 'boycott' topic".

For those that remember, Carter's boycott only served to damage American athletes, not Russia.
This was just about the only thing Biden has done in his lifetime that I find tolerable.
Let the kids compete and don't pay for rich people to attend is the better solution.

The Chinese are laughing at us. True, but it is also true that this represents a loss of face for Xi the Poo. The CCP saying they are disinviting the anglosphere is sort of like George Costanza getting turned down for a date and yelling, "Oh yeah, well I wasn't going to take you out any place nice!"

So if I understand correctly, this is a diplomatic boycott, meaning our political elites will shun the Olympics, but the athletes will still compete. So who gives a crap. China is not letting a lot of people in anyway. It is just for show. 160 years ago we fought a war that cost over 600,000 lives, in part, to free slaves. Now all the world does to free slaves is sit at home on their asses and bloviate. We have come so far as an evolved world. Slavery, pedophilia, and killing babies.
