It wasn’t a “senseless” murder to the killer. He knew exactly what he was doing. Stupid police statements don’t encourage more trust in them. Duh!

Obviously, a case of WWA (walking while Asian); apparently a triggering behavior to certain racial/ethnic groups (see article).

Honestly, at first I thought the shooter would be Asian, since the murderer was so deliberate with the follow-up. He actually put the car in park, exited the car and delivering two coup d’grace shots at close range to finish off the victim. Instead, he was “the race whose name shall not be mentioned.”

What dolts journalists are.

From the article:

“Police late Wednesday announced that Alphonso Joyner, 23, of Chicago, had been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a revoked Firearm Owner’s Identification Card. Joyner is expected in court Thursday.”

He was arrested shortly after police reviewed surveillance video.

No hate. Just a thrill killing. How reassuring. Not. Leave Chicago. Leave LA. Leave NYC. Go Galt. Go red-state. Take your parents with you.

Let the blue-state urban dwellers thrill-kill each other and get reduced to cannibalism.

Situational awareness is one thing, but monitoring every vehicle and individual of whom you are in range is impossible, especially for a lone individual in a 'peacetime' situation.

But,but, but I see them doing just that on tv and .. Even in the movies!? 😁😁

The sources said the initial investigation shows that the murder appears to be random.

They spelled racist wrong.

There has To be more to this story. I’m not buying the “random attack” claim.

Gang initiation killing. To get in the gang, they have to kill a specific type of person and it has to make the news.

Asians are easy targets in Shitcago: they're passive, put up zero resistance and are highly concentrated in Shitcago's China Town neighborhood.

FWIW, China Town is near several highly violent, predominantly black neighborhoods with high crime & murder rates.

I'm *very* familiar with that area.

“I know his heart and attention were all right there. Especially in Chinese culture, that’s how it is. It’s this stoic mentality: tough love, you have to suffer before you succeed in life. You take the long road. Nothing is handed to you,” William Tse said.

(I'd bet good money this dude was 'handed' plenty during his short life.)

Police late Wednesday announced that Alphonso Joyner, 23, of Chicago, had been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a revoked Firearm Owner’s Identification Card. Joyner is expected in court Thursday.

Police credit the Chinatown community for Joyner's quick arrest, which is now his fifth arrest. Two of the arrests were for gun offenses.

(What ever happened to the 3 strikes thing?)

Alphonso Joyner and Woom Sing Tse

Within minutes of the shooting, the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce provided 9th District police with the surveillance video

It was an ambush. From a car. Totally unexpected. Doesn’t even matter if you’re openly holding a gun.

It was an ambush and unexpected. He still had plenty of time to draw and fire back, or at least take cover, if he had been of the mindset that it could happen to him.

But... Totally unexpected... in Chicago? In 2021? He appears to be in what self defense trainers call "condition white", where he was distracted, unaware of his surroundings, and unwilling to consider he might be at risk.

To OilLine Rebel: Watch the video.

He is not paying attention. (not uncommon)

The vehicle stops. It appears he is shot at. It is the only vehicle on the street which is not parked.

He notices the vehicle. He notices he is being targeted. He puts up an arm to shield himself or to see the vehicle better. He tries to get away. The vehicle moves forward, stops and fires some more shots. From the time of the first shot to the second series is about 6 seconds.

He only moves at a walk before he is hit. He appears confused and uncertain of what is happening.

He does not take cover. He is hit, and goes down. The vehicle goes forward, then stops. The shooter gets out and walks up to the victim to deliver the deadly, final shots.

The victim, once he goes down, moves around on the ground a bit. He moves his arms.

It is likely he is unable to accept what is happening. It is a common reaction, the "This cannot be happening to me." reaction.

It is a deadly unwilliness to accept that you are under attack.

He may or may not have had sufficient control to draw and shoot after he went down, but clearly there was time to do so.

One of the most important part of situational awareness is to shed the notion that "It cannot happen to me."

I am not saying, in any way, this was the fault of the victim.

In a civilized society, such events would be extremely rare, and shocking.

I am saying, if he were armed, and had considered how to act if he were attacked, he would have had opportunity to defend himself.

Many people have been attacked, shot at, and reacted and shot back, in far less time than shown on the video.

It is sad that an awareness of the possibility of being attacked is necessary in our civilization at this time.

The media sure stopped beating the drum of “Stop Asian Hate” when it was demonstrated overwhelmingly that it was blacks who were doing the hatin’.
