Police late Wednesday announced that Alphonso Joyner, 23, of Chicago, had been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a revoked Firearm Owner’s Identification Card. Joyner is expected in court Thursday.
Police credit the Chinatown community for Joyner's quick arrest, which is now his fifth arrest. Two of the arrests were for gun offenses.
