It seems as though ABC News journalists are still capable of feeling shame. How else to explain the network’s attempt to make everyone forget their initial (and very excited) coverage of Jussie Smollett's claims that a MAGA-loving mob assaulted him on a frigid Chicago night? In 2021, ABC is attempting to bury the story.
The actor's elaborate 2018 accusations — and thus ABC’s reporting — quickly unraveled and the Empire actor is now on trial for lying. On Monday, Smollett offered convoluted testimony in his own defense. Usually, a celebrity criminal trial would be of interest to the tabloid-loving ABC. But on Monday night, ABC’s World News Tonight completely skipped it. On Tuesday morning, Good Morning America avoided it as well.
As I noted in a NewsBusters study on Monday, ABC managed a scant 22 seconds total to the trial, which started over a week ago. Good Morning America has allowed NO coverage. However, on February 14, 2019, Good Morning America's Robin Roberts devoted a whopping 17 minutes and 52 seconds to her “exclusive” interview of Smollett recounting his claims about MAGA terrorists, who happened to have a noose ready.

Just one of countless things they’ve done they want us to forget.
Bet your last dollar, the next time they get the opportunity to smear MAGA or Trump with lies they will take it. The shame is only from getting caught.

Who wrote this headline? It is not shame or embarrassment that has the networks giving so little coverage to the Jussie trial. It is just an attempt to kept their viewers misinformed. Shame would have them apologize to their viewers. That won’t happen.
Wait until Smollett is found Not Guilty due to jury nullification. They are going to be dancing in the streets and sticking it in everyone’s face.

ABC ‘journalists’ didn’t questioned how strange it would be for white Trump supporters to be walking around the black South Side of Chicago at 3 AM - - carrying a noose and a bottle of bleach? It was stunning to watch.
“MAGA hats? MAGA Hats??? Hey Frank, come over here for a second. Find out where Kanye West was last night.”
I wonder if the jury knows that kamala harris was part of the original commi gang pressuring lightfoot and that stupid AG to drop all charges.
And it’s not much of a stretch to see how kamala and co were also part of the inventing and planing.

They have no shame at all, remember that the Smollett case came just a couple of weeks after they were caught lying about the Covington kids. They never apologized or missed a beat, they just moved to the next lie.

It will be extremely hard to do after Dave Chappelle does his new bit on Jussie.

At the time we were grateful that the MSM came within a hair of actually naming some “suspects.” If the BS story didn’t unravel as fast as it did that was next.
They didn't fall for it, they knew it was a lie the whole time. That's what they're always about.
