‘Tis the season to be especially cranky and belligerent in online forums. Is there nothing else one can do with one’s rancor? Like go out and volunteer at something, or even just get on your knees and ask God to soothe your heart?
I read the two posts upthread, Fox wasn’t blamed. Period.
As you say, dforest, some are simply looking to get angry. Outright looking for an excuse to sin.
Put deBlasio under the hot lights.
( Under New York City law, arson is only considered a felony if the suspect harms or tries to harm a person or if the act is a hate crime, Mark Bederow, a Manhattan prosecutor turned criminal defense lawyer, told FOX News.)<{P>
Hey Ann.... wth is wrong with TOU?. Jump to conclusions much? No one is BLAMING THE HOSTS. Let me explain it to you. We keenly observed the repeated references to the beautiful tree. Knowing how leftists use “triggers” to act, we recognized that this was likely the cause.Dont you just hate it when people just overactive to things? Bless your heart.
Those posts didn’t blame Fox
This is a bizarre exchange
Posts 6 and 7 made a point there’s been a lot publicity surrounding the tree before it was burned
Nobody said faux brought it on themselves
The initial flamers perceived that erroneously in my view
I’d file this along with FREEPERS rarely read past headlines and love to scold risky behavior and the 1960s
**Destruction of property?**
Oh my.... where to start.....
Well,.... God did that in a big way with the Flood.
He also was not impressed with the Phillistine God Dagon, and broke it to pieces.
He has many times used mankind to destroy things, such as when he had the Romans demolish Jerusalem.
I don’t think destroying a Christmas tree in midtown Manhattan qualifies as God ‘using’ mankind for good.
I don’t think the Romans knew that they were doing God’s will when they leveled the temple in Jerusalem.
So, you think God doesn’t like the Jewish religion - which HE instituted - OR Christmas trees?
You made MY point again....thanks.
Your name make my point dear. You jumped to incorrect conclusions and won’t admit it. Say it. Say it. I was wrong. You cant
Karen....yikes...get help.
God is the Judge. He gave Moses the prophecies of judgment for rebellion against his ordinances.
Jesus Christ ripped the hypocrisy of the Jewish leaders. He told his disciples that the temple was going to be completely knocked down.
Jeremiah 10:1-7 shows us that the ‘Christmas tree’ is man’s invention, not God’s.
Well, I can’t argue with someone who takes everything in the Bible literally, because I don’t.
I don’t believe that God causes anything ‘bad’ to happen. I believe He created the Universe and set certain laws into motion. He created us and gave us free will, and left us to go our way learning to live by the laws or breaking them, as we would.
Maybe in the end we believe similarly, but from very different viewpoints. But I love my Christmas Tree, and I’m glad someone came up with the idea and made it into a tradition. I don’t think God really minds at all, and I think only a narrow mind would perceive it as anything like idolatry.
He may unwittingly have been doing God’s will:
Jeremiah 10:1-7

Didn’t even have to look it up. I don’t worship a decorated tree.
Jehovah’s Witness?
We need to make a bigger deal of everything we do - throw it in their little commie faces. No, we will NOT be bullied by these thugs...
As I understand he was photographed earlier the same day exposing himself to reporters outside of the courthouse where the Maxwell trial is taking place. He's also reportedly homeless.
So, yea, probably crazy. But then again, some crazy homeless people are smart enough to get themselves arrested and put in jail for at least a couple of months as the cold weather comes. 3 meals and a cot, even in jail might be a better option for some than sleeping on the street during winter in NYC.
This guy is already out of custody. No bail was set so he's free. The current issue in NYS is that bail reform laws have removed most threats of punishment. Unless you commit a heinous violent crime, you will most likely be free in a few hours. In order to spend a few months in jail in NYS these days you'd have to violently assault someone. From a criminal justice situation, it's not good.
