Total Insanity.

When these kids become adults and it's discovered that they don't know and can't do anything laws will be passed to force you to hire them anyway.

In the name of social justice.

Getting rid of math.

Getting rid of grammar.

Getting rid of history.

Anyone see a pattern?

I never know which to choose:
1. Socialist/Communist Utopia (bleeding heart)?
2. Power control over those who supposedly don't know what's best for themselves?
3. Incompetence?
4. Plain stupidity as in lack of commonsense and inability to foresee unintended consequences?
5. Buy offs?

My conclusion is a combination of all, depending on the politician.

California’s “Equitable Math” framework that prioritizes social justice ideology over actual math.

Since CA purchases a lot of books they have a huge influence on school books nationwide.

New and questionable teaching methods are forced on millions of children without proper studies, testing or followup.
Just like the Covid Jabs.
If anyone wants to know what Socialist decision making is like, this is it.
Efficiency and safely is irrelevant, ideology is everything.

“Total Insanity.”

No, sorry, nothing ‘insane’, just the next logical step in their long-term plan to take down the country.

Makes PERFECT sense to me, as I don’t assign the Left the same value system that I have (which is that America be #1 in the world).

Of course it will. That’s the entire point of it.

From a pdf doc at equity dot org:

1. Recognize the ways that communities of color engage in mathematics and problem solving in their everyday lives.

2. Teach that mathematics can help solve problems affecting students’ communities. Model the use of math as a solution to their immediate problems, needs, or desires.

3. Identify and challenge the ways that math is used to uphold capitalist, imperialist, and racist views.

4. Teach the value of math as both an abstract concept and as a useful everyday tool.

5. Expose students to examples of people who have used math as resistance. Provide learning opportunities that use
math as resistance.

This came from page 10 or 12. I numbered the points to make it easier to say: check out numbers 3 and 5.

Insanity. There are good ideas in here (some from the early 1960s!) but then you run into the thorns among the roses...
