I never know which to choose:
1. Socialist/Communist Utopia (bleeding heart)?
2. Power control over those who supposedly don't know what's best for themselves?
3. Incompetence?
4. Plain stupidity as in lack of commonsense and inability to foresee unintended consequences?
5. Buy offs?

My conclusion is a combination of all, depending on the politician.

Nope. #1 is (truly) a communist long-game plot to defeat the West and install global communism.

All the others on your list are nothing but enablers, useful idiots, and corruptocrats.

I am not kidding about the communist plot one bit. It’s been a century-long project and it is nearing completion aided and abetted by current and former communist states bent on world domination. Their goal of global domination and control has not changed one iota in the past 100 years.
