The Great and Powerful Dr. Oz
Observer ^ | 8/14/07 | Lizzy Ratner

...In fact, the only area that Dr. Oz has not yet conquered seems to be the grotty gladiators’ ring of politics—though that area, too, might someday be Oz-ified. A self-described “moderate Republican” concerned with “fiscal and leadership issues,” Dr. Oz has been active in his local Republican Party (in New Jersey) for several years, donated handsomely to G.O.P. candidates like Senators John McCain and Bill Frist and, when asked, readily acknowledged that the idea of elected office has crossed his mind. “I get asked all the time about it,” he said. “I’ve always enjoyed leading people.”

Should he choose to enter the electoral fray, Dr. Oz already has two icons whose political path he said he would like to follow: California bodybuilder-turned-actor-turned governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom he calls a “wonderful” guy and a “good chess player too” (and whose picture sits proudly in Dr. Oz’s office alongside a bottle of wine the Governator gave him for moderating his health summit in July 2006); and Teddy Roosevelt, the original boot-strapping individualist....

Even before this Covidiocy started, I never trusted any of these media doctors.

I trust them even less when they get political.

Oz said back then that he “always enjoyed leading people”. (likes to be in charge)

bits I’ve seen of him in recent years - he is not good quality we need of leader material - Oz is mostly just about himself, thinking he knows it all, promoting the latest fad in supposed health item - all other people’s ideas or items.

Oz is charlatan, sales man like barry o, lead people off a cliff.

Indeed, the 47-year-old surgeon, who was once named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Doctor,” is everywhere these days:

CASE CLOSED MY FRIENDS. WOMEN WILL VOTE FOR HIM AND HE’LL WIN. SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

Deal with it.

Pro-LGBT talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz announced his candidacy to run as a Republican for a hotly-contested Senate seat in Pennsylvania next year. Even though Oz is Muslim, he has a history of transgender activism and supports other liberal causes.
Oz, as talk show host, ran a program about ‘transgender children’ in 2010 that led to the creation of a ‘gender identity’ center for kids as young as four.

But isn’t that toxic masculinity? He should drink more soy milk, so as to be non-threatening./;-}

You assume women know what they’re voting for.

I heard an interview with Dr. Oz on the radio the other day with conservative talker Dom Giordano. (Giordano took over Rush’s slot on WPHT in Philadelphia.) He was asked about about the controversy regarding whether or not Oz is a Pennsylvania resident. He danced all around the question, saying he attended college in Philadelphia, met his wife there, his in-laws live there, but stopped short of saying he was a resident. He alluded to living “only 3 miles from the PA border” (in south Jersey) a couple of times. Near the end of the interview, he said something to the effect that ‘people won’t care that he’s only 3 miles away.” Either he is a resident of the state or he is not. It seems to me it would be pretty easy to see where he’s registered to vote, if he paid taxes in the state, does he have a PA driver’s license, etc.

If they don’t get all tingly over soy boys, why do the femmenazis keep saying how bad “toxic masculinity” is. Mind you, the drug store romances go for machismo, but that’s just residual patriarchal domineering.

Someone who can’t even pretend to embrace the culture isn’t going to make it far. And the burbs may lose you the state but they won’t win it for you.
