The special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, that announced plans to merge with former President Donald Trump’s new social media company is under investigation by federal regulators, the company disclosed on Monday.
The SPAC, Digital World Acquisition Corp., disclosed the investigation in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
“DWAC has received certain preliminary, fact-finding inquiries from regulatory authorities, with which it is cooperating,” the company said.
It added that in late October and early November, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority requested information “surrounding events (specifically, a review of trading) that preceded the public announcement of” the SPAC’s merger with Trump’s company, Trump Media & Technology Group.

Yes, it’s a witch hunt. Trump would not do anything underhanded when under such intense scrutiny. Democrats have to bloody up Trump or DeSantis for 2014. One of them will run, one will not, I am confident at this point the two are sharing strategies.

WHO, in their right mind: A) MISDEFINES “anti-semitism” and B) proceeds to decry a platform having a bar against it?
By evidence, Torba is all but saying anti-semitism won’t be barred on Gab, because he sees an ongoing need to criticize, make humor of, mock and/or critique Jews; and Heaven knows there’s plenty of that going on at Gab.
So, Torba cries “sour grapes” and extolls the virtue of Gab where anyone who so desires can, presumably, engage with impunity in anti-semitism as Torba misdefines it.
I’m perfectly willing to have forward-going evidence at Gab prove me wrong; indeed as one with a Gab account, I very much hope to see that my trepidation is ill-founded. To-date, however, that isn’t my observation; there is no shortage of postings portraying Jews as hook-nosed caricatures, smearing them all as cultural Marxists, and worse. It’snot EVERYONE, but it’s many, and it’s prevasive.
