I just found out Thursday that the hospital was never going to terminate us unvaxxers for failure to take the vaccine.
The language was “indefinite unpaid leave”. My manager said the were told to just not put us on the schedule.
Pretty clever, huh?? Cleveland Clinic, btw. So if that’s how they are handling it, you can be sure others are too. Tells me they are concerned about the fallout. And they didn’t drop it because of the court rulings. They couldn’t have managed the staff losses.
That is clever—and they can change their minds with each schedule—playing it by ear...
I am scheduled to get both shingles shots. I did not know it was two shots—thought only a single shingles shot. Now I am concerned that if they find I have yet to be vaccinated, that they may try sneek in a jab on me. How can I prevent that?
I had shingles a couple years ago. It was ... unpleasant. So, since I didn’t want to get it a second time, I figured I’d get the shingles vaccine. But because of COVID, I’m not taking any vaccines. I don’t trust the doctors these days. I’ll take my chances with shingles.
Yes, revenge is a dish best served ice cold. Revenge will be served well chilled in the blue areas as conservatives simply leave. They wanted this, let them have it.
You can’t be vaxxed without your consent. No one is going to set themselves up for a lawsuit over this. Be forewarned about the shingles vaxx: I got it and was sick as a dog. I recovered just fine but it was NOT pleasant.
The borg were science fiction. In reality, government gets it’s power through obedience NOT consent. Widespread failure to obey usually ends with edicts being quietly dropped.
I still don’t understand why conservatives care so much about legality and and the lefts edicts. There is an obvious solution: noncompliance. I suspect its because the more politically oriented “conservatives” are really less concerned about freedom than compliance when its their turn to hold the whip.
The shingles vax is known to make you feel like you have the flu and it is 2 shots.
Yup. I got it and it was like the flu with the first dose and much worse the second. I didn’t get out of bed for about 24 hours once it hit me.
I have 2 brothers - both got shingles shot #1 & it was so unpleasant, neither are going back for shot #2 - I was present when they were talking about it with each other. One of the brothers had a case of shingles a while back & still won’t get the 2nd shot. Just be aware the shots can be “not fun”.
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.
Vaccine mandates also suspended at the Cleveland Clinic, across other NE Ohio hospitals

That would be rather stupid.
Most elective surgery is done on an outpatient bases.
You might need a recovery ward bed for a few hours but only need an ICU bed if things went horribly wrong.
