It sounds messed up, but apparently you catch a young male and cuts his junk off, than sometime later you kill him.
The meat is more tender due to lack of equipment...
I worked in the building Major Nelson did.
When they showed a panoramic view of his work, it’s on A1A at Patrick AFB.
Well...
Al Gore was well known as known as a super-doper so he was probably just as high when he made his prediction of no more snow on Kilimanjaro.
I know that’s higher I was just making the point that even on “small” island like Maui you still have land that quite a ways above sea level.
How about a quick tourism lockdown report for those thinking about heading to the islands, like the one you freepmailed to me months ago? Would make a nice monthly or so ping list.
“... and widespread flooding rain...”
They’d be wise to collect the rainwater for their little contamination problem...
Surf’s up!
Come on all you hodaddies!
That is why you can see snow-capped mountains in tropical areas.
Anybody who has been to Mt Washington (NH) in the summer can experience this for themselves. It can be 75 degrees at the bottom but up top, there could be a below zero wind chill with ice and snow. That's only about 6,200 feet in elevation.
I used to swim in Hilo and see snowy mountains. It is common for snow on the top of Maunaloa and Maunakea. Sometimes friends would take a bunch of kids up there with improvised sleds.
Weather on Maunaloa, this shows the prediction for 13373 ft:

Maunakea, for 12959 ft:

Gotcha, mea culpa.
Good idea to check for yourself. However, Hilo Int’l airport station says rain next 4 days. I didn’t check any other places in Hawaii.

That’s all way up top in the summits , above 12,000 ft. No effect on all the humanity down below. Just raining , which the island needs . Especially the areas around Parker Ranch which had a lot of fires this past summer. This weather ( so far) has been a blessing
I’ve been up top in a blizzard before. It’s fun
“Mauna Loa Kea 13,803. It has a ski area.”
Loa and Kea are two different summits. There is no developed ski area just the mountain.
Big climate difference between sea level and 13,000 feet.
And they get mad at people skiing because the savages think the mountain is holy. They try to discourage it.
Ski Hawaii!
There is a ski resort in Morocco (north Africa) too. In the Atlas Mountains, tops out at over 10,00 feet.
10,000
Don’t say Buffet and Stacey Abrams in the same article. Next thing you know, after she is finished, he will be the Late Jimmy Buffet !
