Fort Monmouth NJ (1951) - About a month and a half after Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were sent up river to Sing-Sing to await there execution, Fort Monmouth NJ radar operators reported fast moving targets moving up the NJ Coast.
The incident was concerning to Fort Monmouth brass and the Air Force team (mostly Project Grudge) assigned to investigate such matters was sent up from DC.
Kecksburg UFO incident (1965) - About three months after the Atomic Energy Commission discovered 300 lbs. missing from the NUMEC Plant in Apollo, PA, a UFO crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, PA. The crash sight was also only about 10 miles from the Westinghouse Nuke facility in Waltz Mills.
According to UFO lore, the military stepped in, cordoned every thing off and hauled large objects away on tarp covered trucks.

Senator William Stuart Symington was the first Secretary of the Air Force from 1947 to 1950. According to UFO aficionados, Symington is the one who told Admiral Forrestal about the Alien Presence, which caused his nervous breakdown, which made him jump from the 13th floor of the Navy Hospital in Bethesda. (A week later, another associate of Symington killed himself, and from the same height, as Admiral Forrestal.)
Before becoming Sec. of the Air Force though, Symington was President of Emerson Electric Company. That is who Julius Rosenberg was working for when he stole the plans for the top secret proximity fuse at Fort Monmouth in 1943.
Senator Symington summered on Gibson Island, Maryland. His father had founded the retreat for the Eastern Elite back in the 1920s. Residents like Symington were automatic members of the Gibson Island Club. Non-residents could also join the club, but there was a process.
Merson Booth was a member of the club but was not a resident of Gibson Island. He was a atomic engineer in the Navy and had worked with Zalman Shapiro on the first nuclear submarines. When he left the Navy he got a job with the Atomic Energy Commission in the Commercial Licensing Division. Zalman Shapiro formed NUMEC in 1957 and secured the first commercial license to make Weapons Grade Uranium.
Merson did not leave much of a footprint, or if he did, it is really hard to find. Still, there he is at the Westinghouse plant near Waltz Mills in 1961 to check on a radiation incident.

James Forrestal was never an admiral. He was secretary of the navy then secretary of defense. Something so fundamentally wrong kinda blows up the credibility of the story doesn't it?
The Kecksburg “UFO” was obviously a crashed Soviet satellite.
