New Jersey State Troopers blocked a group of state Republican lawmakers who attempted to enter the Assembly floor in Trenton on Thursday without showing proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test, a policy implemented the previous day.
After 15 minutes of tension, the GOP assembly members walked past the officers onto the floor.
Democrat state Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin called the Republicans' move a "colossal failure in security here at the Statehouse," according to NJ.com.
Videos shared on social media depict a hectic scene.
A crowd gathered behind Republican Assembly members as they argued with troopers.

The headline should read “Nazis try to block...” because that is what is happening. The same bogus excuse of following orders when their duty is to ignore UNLAWFUL orders! And Democrats lie as you and I breath, out of necessity. That war happened in 1967, and he became a US Senator in January 1973. Unreal! The myth is nazis are on the Right, but that is short for national SOCIALIST, and socialists are always on the left.
True police and military NEVER EVER follow unlawful orders, no matter who is giving them. These aren’t police, they are just like the nazis in WW2 saying they were just doing what they were told. I used to say socialists, and my dad about 3 or so years ago kept saying no they are communists, and about 2 years ago it clicked. He was right.
The troopers should all be charged with attempted kidnapping and civil rights abuses, for using the “color of law” as a cover for obviously overstepping their jobs!
ARREST EVERY ONE OF THEM! At the very least, take away their right to “law” enforcers...because obviously, they do not actually care about the damn laws!!
