"There are some who say you're never supposed to point a gun on anyone on a set no matter what," Stephanopoulos said.
"Unless the person is the cinematographer who's directing me at where to point the gun for her camera angle," Baldwin said. "That's exactly what happened."
Criticism of Baldwin has come from fellow actors, some of whom shared their own protocol using weapons while filming. George Clooney said recently that, "Every single time I'm handed a gun on a set -- every time they had me a gun -- I look at it, I open it, I show it to the person I'm pointing it to. We show it to the crew."
Baldwin took issue with Clooney's thinly veiled jab, calling it "misplaced."
"There were a lot of people who felt it necessary to contribute some comment to the situation, which really didn't help the situation at all," he said. "If your protocol is you checking the gun every time, well, good for you. Good for you."

Lol!
They are going to try to blame the gun for “going off” while he “innocently” pulled the hammer back, then “innocently” tried to lower it.
That is going to be his defense. The dangerous gun design did it. They hope to bamboozle a jury of non-shooters with BS. It might work.
See my above images and photos from “Ride with the Devil,” where 100s of SA revolvers are fired with no actors killed.
Even Perry Mason couldn’t get him off.
Isn’t the first thing a lawyer tells you (after how are you gong to pay me) is to not talk to anyone and don’t give interviews?
Baldwin is giving the prosecution evidence that will be used at his trial.
See 23 for what I think his defense is planning. It might work on a jury of non-shooters. And even among shooters, SA revolvers are a small fraction, and very mysterious.
See 23.
“Someone was controlling my hands, “sniff sniff” and I couldn’t stop it “BooHoo” All I could do was helplessly watch the gun fire and the people die “Whaaaa”. It wasn’t me”
He’s going to jail. Public opinion will not sway a jury
He’s trying to cover his butt.
I think he’s making up narratives and repeating them to himself until he really believes them.
Spoken like a true, narcissistic, no account liberal lunatic.
“ They are going to try to blame the gun for “going off” while he “innocently” pulled the hammer back, then “innocently” tried to lower it.”
While the gun “innocently” pointed itself at someone.
It’s his only possible defense, to bamboozle a jury of non-shooters about the inherent danger of SA revolvers.
Of course it’s 100% his fault, as producer (overall responsible for hiring, safety etc) and as the person who picked up and fired the gun.
But the “dangerous gun design” is his only chance of acquittal. The prosecution will need to bring in experts who can make it all clear to the jury.
Bless his little heart.
He’s already tempering a prospective jury - hopefully of liberal anti-2nd amendment women and beta males.
His strategy won’t work.
Amazing, he is Taking the “Magic Gun” defense. Maybe he is channeling Arlen Spector
A nice movie....very era accurate filmed and settings looked so realistic
Aside from Jewels boobs
Rhys Meyers stole the show ....his portrayal of Pitt Mackeson was perfect
Especially the last scene
Pity it lost a ton especially at box office
🤪😜🤪🤪🤪 Of course it was not you, sweetie.
It’s the Executive Producer’s fault.
He sounds just like Resident Bidet.
“Why would you ever pick up a gun without checking it?”
Although a tragic one, this is a good example of how the rich hollywood liberal mind works.
For example they don’t grocery shop, they have it done for them. They don’t go to the gas station to fill up the tank they have it done for them or they don’t have to drive at all...they can afford to be driven...etc
So it stands to reason that he doesn’t believe he should have had to safety check the weapon...in his mind it was someone else’s responsibility and he should not have had to do it.
