Anthony Fauci on Thursday blasted Fox News and said he was "astounded" that the network did not discipline host Lara Logan for comparing him to the infamous Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, who worked at Auschwitz during the Holocaust.
"What I find striking is how she gets no discipline whatsoever from the Fox network. How they can let her say that with no comment and no disciplinary action. I’m astounded by that," the chief White House medical adviser said in an appearance on MSNBC.
He said it was an insult to all of the people who suffered and died under the Nazi regime in the concentration camps.
"It's unconscionable what she said. She was being totally slanderous to me and, as usual, had no idea what she was talking about," he said.
Fox News did not immediately respond to The Hill's request for comment.
"What you see on Dr. Fauci, this is what people say to me, that he doesn't represent science to them. He represents Josef Mengele ... the Nazi doctor who did experiments on Jews during the Second World War and in the concentration camps," Logan said on Monday during "Fox News Primetime."
"And I am talking about people all across the world are saying this. Because the response from COVID, what it has done to countries everywhere, what it has done to civil liberties, the suicide rates, the poverty, it has obliterated economies," she added.
After her comments, Logan was condemned by Jewish organizations — including the Anti-Defamation League and the Auschwitz Memorial.
The American Jewish Committee also tweeted asking "why is Fox News staying silent?" in response to Logan doubling down on her comments.
ADL spokesperson Jake Hyman said in a statement to CNN, “Logan and the network seem to be immune to shame and allergic to remorse."
Fauci has been a target for criticism from GOP members of Congress and conservative media figures since the early months of the pandemic.

Yes, that was how I read it.
It seemed no different than ALL of the MSM, reporting stuff on Trump, leading off with.... “... anonymous sources tell us that....” and then “... it has been reported that....” and it was all completely FAKE NEWS.
So if Fauci wants to call it FAKE NEWS, he can certainly try, but otherwise, I feel he has a weak case to deny anything.
That said, I expect Jen Psaki to have some slimey, snarky comments about this in the next few days, because that is how she rolls.
Fauci is nothing but a democrat political hack. He claims to be the face of science. Why doesn’t he come on conservative news outlets and defend himself? He only makes himself available to outlets that fawn over him. In my opinion, he’s got a lot of blood on his hands.

The comparison to Mengele is, I believe, entirely appropriate. The criticism of the worldwide rise of tyranny is correct and timely. The Jews are repeating their role in history.
Fauci has made more people weep bitter tears than Mengele could ever have dreamed of.
The SOB wants the host to be disciplined for having a bad opinion of him. Un-frickin-believable. Perhaps he should demand that she be hauled off to a show-trial and then a concentration camp.
The comparison sucks, the utility of one Nazis to the other Nazis is clear. The NIH utility to the either party or the nation at this point is unclear. The reporting by the Nazis historically was of utility to other parties because expermental records were hidouse and factual. The means of Nazis were despicable world changing crime against humanity
Grigori Rasputin is the correct historical comparison. Damaged more than one political element by his mystic actions detached for reality. Rasputin sent the world in a vile direction that still has not been corrected.
Reporters and pundits have a terriable time reporting on scientist who are off the rails of moral activity.
The comparison amongst people with a moderate amount of historical knowledge should be Trofim Lysenko, the founder of the soviet Famine, the world wide economic impact is of the same scale.
The experts in the same fields are not all in Washington and Atlanta, and I would say that the most of them are not. It's time the American people fugure that out and begin turning to researchers in their own states.

And instead of being stuff that appears bit by bit on the internet, it would be information obtained as sworn statements.
Except when the comparison is exact, not hyperbole. Fauci runs experiments where dogs get their faces eaten off.. how sick can you get. He has murdered 500,000 Americans so his vaccine and drug patents can yield cash for him and his compatriots. And, most likely he had a hand in causing the creation of Covid 19 as well.. as well as the timing of its release. It’s not like we have him on video and his own letters pushing for the release of just exactly this sort of virus to drive public acceptance of rapid approval of mRNA vaccines.
Mengele was a duffer, an amateur compared to Fauci.
