Senate cuts deal to clear government funding bill

The Senate cut a deal on Thursday night to pave the way for passing a short-term government funding bill to avert a shutdown.

Under the deal, the Senate will first vote Thursday night on an amendment from conservatives to defund President Biden’s vaccine mandate for larger employers, which is expected to fall short.

Democrats agreed to allow the amendment vote at a simple-majority threshold. That means if every Republican and one Democrat voted for the amendment it would be added to the funding bill.

Does this mean the Mandates that Pedo Joe wants will be FUNDED?

If true, McConnell not only caved, he gave PJoe more power.

WOW, Mitch is a five letter word.

The mandates are bad enough all right but the issue to be addressed is the uncontrollable spending. That must be harnessed and/or killed.

I know - won’t happen.

And Hannity just reported the Senate just passed the bill which funds the government until February 18, 2022. We knew the shutdown threat was meaningless and this is the proof. We are never going to get the country back when the Dems hold together and the so called Republicans will never stand their ground.

Mitch caved

Not McConnell. Roger Marshall and those who were ready to shut the government down over the covid requirements folded like cheap suits and let Mitch have his way.

Just remember, voting rino is always better than letting the democrat win. (Stop trying to figure that one out)

President Trump should make an announcement that if they allow this to happen she will campaign against every sitting Republican senator that is up for re-election, both in the primary and in the general.

If Trump does that the republican party will lose all its RINOs.

Let’s see Mitch the bitch shrug that off.

Trump has already endorsed a hand full of rinos. That’s why I stopped donating to his pac. But it was nice they got 19 elitist republicans to vote with the democrats, kind of softens the backlash.

No, Trump needs to just come out and call on all his supports to refuse contributing to the RNC. Trump should use the power the people have given him. I’m not happen that he’s not more forcefully trying to change the Repukes. Hammer the funding message.
