Punch: "Open Highway"From 1970. Featuring the Wrecking Crew in support. Catch that one blast from the brass at 2:30.
One of my picks from my college radio days that didn't make it.

During that time (late 60’s early 70’s), it was common for popular music to have a clearly Christian perspective or topic. Broadway shows such as Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar made a ton of money.
This ambiguous lyric by The Who may have been influenced by the lucrative style of the day.

Pete Townshend was a follower of Meher Baba, (that’s where the “Baba” from “Baba O’Reilly” came from).

And Terry Riley was a minimalist composer who inspired Pete Townshend (that’s where the “Riley” from “Baba O’Riley” came from).

Very few people that I know, have ever heard of Nazz.
I’ve been a Todd Rundgren fan since early 70’s.
My favorite from his Nazz years is called
“You Are My Window”. Very nice. That’s back when his tunes were heavy with piano as the lead instrument.
The production may seem dated, but it’s still enjoyable as a well crafted song.
