Tesla Unveils All-Electric Cyberquad For Kids
TheStreet.com ^ | 12/2/21 | VERONIKA BONDARENKO

Designed to look like a mini version of the company's Cybertruck introduced two years ago, the Cyberquad is available for preorder on the Tesla website.

It launched quietly earlier today, with the Verge being the first to spot it on the Tesla site, and will be shipped to first buyers between two and four weeks from now.

"Inspired by our iconic Cybertruck design, the four-wheel ATV features a full steel frame, cushioned seat and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking and LED light bars," reads the product description.

With a weight limit of 150 pounds, the ATV-style toy car is suitable for kids over age 8.

It comes with three speed settings: 5 mph, 10 mph, and 5 mph in reverse. It takes about five hours to fully charge, compared with at least 12 hours for an average Tesla.

The Cyberquad is also by far the cheapest option for anyone looking to get a Tesla vehicle of any kind — the next option is the Tesla Model 3 starting at $44,990.

What a joke.
1900 bucks for something you can buy with gas power for half the price.

Is the Fed Govt subsidizing these toys too? My kids have to help fund this nonsense?

I'd have to lose a lot of weight and can't use it, have to wait for the adult version!

Piii-shaw. I still have my 1978 Suzuki dirt bike that still runs like a champ. (OK, been through some spare parts...) Both my sons abused it and it abused them the same as me. “Builds character”. Rub some dirt on it and walk it off, you’ll be fine.

Electric quad, my ***.

I don't think so. Gov't subsidies are mostly for Ford and GM, union shops. Ford sells electric bicycles, don't know about GM. Tesla will be like other companies, spreading out to multiple divisions of products like phones, toys, air conditioners, etc. They have previously made small electric roadsters for kids which are probably collector items now.

This little buggy is actually made by Radio Flyer, the Tesla name is what adds 1000 bucks to the price. You can buy battery power kid quads for 750 bucks or gas for 1000.

“1900 bucks for something you can buy with gas power for half the price.”

Does seem high, compared to their past offerings. Here is their Model S toy licensed to Radio Flyer, sells for $499:

See my post#10. Tesla has long licensed other toy cars via Radio Flyer, that sold for about $500. Don’t know why the cyber version costs more.

That’s why I hate subsidies. Even if the money is kept in one pot it allows the company extra cash to use on other projects. so it is subsidizing everything in reality.

There’s a switch you can select a 5mph limit if you want. That’s likely about as fast as the Barbie Jeep.

That's why I hate government theft of my money via taxes, which are given away to entities who waste it. Makes me tend to hate government in general. Unlike Robin Hood, they steal from working stiffs and give to freeloaders who don't work for it (that includes politicians who line their pockets via kickbacks and bribes).
