Here’s a telling but disquieting new survey. Harvard University’s Institute of Politics surveyed 2,109 young Americans ages 18-29 on their political views and their perceptions of the U.S. as a nation. The results are not encouraging.
“A majority of young Americans believe that our democracy is in trouble or failing,” the poll analysis said, noting, however, that “78% say it’s important that the U.S. is a democracy in the first place.”
“Young Americans place the chances that they will see a second civil war in their lifetime at 35%; chances that at least one state secedes at 25%. Nearly half (46%) of young Republicans place the chances of a second civil war at 50% or higher, compared to 32% of Democrats, and 38% of independent and unaffiliated voters,” it continued.

Young Democrat: “We need to dominate those deplorables. We must crush them beneath our boot heels. And I am confident that we can do this through the media, the schools, the elections, and with the help our friendly Republicans. I do not think a civil war will be required.”
Young Republican: “They seek to dominate us. They want to crush us. And I plan to resist. So, yeah, I think a a civil war is pretty likely.”
The Cold War is already on.
I think you’re pretty close. Dems think outside the box and don’t let rules constrain them. Conservatives are law and order types primarily and talk about fighting back but only within the ‘law’. Our forefathers wouldn’t have understood this position.
Yes, we are already in CW II. We fight each other and through proxies (like Kyle Rittenhouse and Jack Philips the cake baker) daily.
Young Republicans? The youngest Republican I know is 75y/o.
Because they are ill educated. First they think we should be a democracy…. That only leads to the tyranny of the mob. Second most of them have no idea what real violence is. The idea of another civil war sickens me.
“they are ill educated. ... they think we should be a democracy”
They are ill educated, and ignorant, and think we ARE a democracy.
Wake up!
We are in a Civil War at this very moment with totalitarian communists moving ever closer to the destruction of America, our sovereign borders and our Constitution.
Even Ray Charles can see this...and he’s blind and dead!
We don’t need no stinkin’ country club RINO republicans espousing the need to use politeness to stand up to these communist totalitarians.
Only an idiot & fool would bring a “polite knife” to a gunfight.
There aren’t many republicans in the Congo, I guess.
Democracy vs republic is an increasingly lost topic.
Nonetheless critical.
I recently made the point to some high schoolers who were visiting our house by asking them to fill in the blank “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the _______.”
They had never really thought of that...
I also had them Google the 10th amendment and explainwd why it is a critical yet lost amendment.
I finished by explaining why I am a libertarian, but not Libertarian.
The grip of the deep state needs to be broken, this may be almost impossible with out help from the inside and a force outside that is committed determined and relentless
The classic mistake of skipping over a secession of many states preventing a CWII.
My 24 YO son is very right wing and so is his betrothed.
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse."
J S Mill
You can’t break the deep state, rather you secede from the deep state.
Sure there are exceptions, my children are Trump-supporting Americans, not Republicans. If the Republican party was a business, it would be sold off for parts.
America is scared and wait ‘til the vote in the GOP and see how feckless and corrupt they are when in power.
The GOP is a bunch of feckless globalist bought and paid for, they are fake politicians.
You may be scared.
We patriots are more angry and determined to save America.
We don’t need to wait to see how corrupt the pols are - we already know.
