Twitter announced this week that Parag Agrawal will be the social media giant's new CEO. (This is an incredible achievement for the Indian-born Agrawal, given that the selection process heavily favored people born in India.) He has a difficult job ahead of him, trying to maintain the site's reputation for fast-paced, free-ranging commentary, while also keeping the platform free of dangerous misinformation.
Agrawal is probably aware of the mounds -- and I mean mounds -- of irrefutable SCIENTIFIC PROOF that conservatives are gullible paranoids, constantly falling for misinformation and hoaxes. For example, consider these 100% objective academic studies:
Conservatives More Likely To Believe False News, New Study Finds -- Maggie Fox, CNN, June 2, 2021
Return of the Paranoid Style: Fake News Is Fooling More Conservatives Than Liberals. Why? -- The Economist, June 3, 2020
Conservatives' Susceptibility to Political Misperceptions -- R. Kelly Garrett and Robert M. Bond, Science Advances, June 2, 2021
On the other hand, now that I think about it, even powerful Democrats, establishment news organizations and influential celebrities have been known to err when evaluating the news.
Hey! That reminds me -- the Jussie Smollett trial kicks off this week! (It's a good thing I remembered that while writing this column.)

With each passing year, I feel a lessened sense of urgency when I see that Ann Coulter has written a new article.
It wasn’t always this way. Wherever Ann walks, a dark cloud of fatalism and futility always seem to follow.
This one was well written, citing original sources. Did you read it?
Why would anyone do that? It’s really hard to snark and denigrate when the object of disdain makes a valid point or two, so reading MUST be avoided!
Ann isn’t out of my bad books yet either, but she IS coming around.
Coulter is a clown.
I will admit, I’ve become so used to associating the name Ann Coulter with “More Trump and/or Conservative Bashing” that I don’t look at her very closely anymore. Sort of the way I could almost write a Peggy Noonan article for Peggy, because I know her Brand. All that being said, perhaps this particular article is worth a closer look. Thanks for the tip.
Coulter is a hopeless Trump-hater.
Btw, did uou see that Trump uploaded a copy of documents for his new website, and the guy who originally objected, seems ok for now.
Indian-born Agrawal
During my last year with CSC, a new Indian born CIO was appointed. He imported a new IT service model, from India, where technical staff: DBAs, system admins, etc, were divorced from accounts. Clients would get strangers when they had a new project or problem. Service collapsed fast and we lost a very lucrative renewal contract to IBM.
It is my observation that Indians have very poor inter personal skills. People are just inter changeable widgets. With any luck, Agrawal will destroy twitter fast. We can only hope.
Wow, she made it through a column without bashing Trump.
everything democrats are guilty of, just flip it around and blame republicans... straight out of the Dem playbook. and it works with no resistance...
