I have been practicing law for a while now, and I’ve never heard of a transcript being lost or destroyed within a month of the hearing.

Do they just audio record bail hearings without a court reporter? I suppose it’s possible: there has been a shortage of court reporters for years now, and there are a lot of bail hearings.

If so, how does the recording get “lost”?

Losing or destroying official records of court proceedings is serious. Doing so intentionally is a felony is most jurisdictions.

Unfortunately, I think whoever deliberately destroyed the record, will walk. They are democrats, and democrats are rarely ever held accountable.

/\

Crooked court reporters are the easiest way to screw the system up.

It probably was never lost, the info was probably never transcribed to begin with.

No one ever thinks to look at them.

Check it’s financial records.

Per the article there was a digital recording (only), but the file is now found to be damaged.

I’ve had audio and video files go corrupt when saving or copying to storage media. It does happen, though rarely.

What really went on here: no idea. Does it smell bad? Yes, it does.

And who prosecutes crimes which are done to protect the Prosecutors?

Especially when the State AG is politically involved with the Milwaukee AG and intent on protecting him instead of investigating or prosecuting?
