Americans have started factoring a state's political ideology into their decision to move as the nation grows increasingly polarized.
A survey from Redfin, a real-estate brokerage firm based in Seattle, predicted more people would vote with their feet in 2022, moving to states that align with their political beliefs about abortion, civil rights, mask and vaccine mandates and critical race theory.

If only there were a way to get rid of 500000 democrat cockroaches in Filthadelpia, then PA would be a reliable red state.
Sadly leftists and illegals will swarm in too, as they themselves usually cannot tolerate what they destroy, like termites seeking more solid wood rather than the termite dust left in their wake.
Killing most of the good people is easier, once a majority have been
separated from the evil people and government has beed made their God.

Don’t come to Florida. If the ‘skeeters don’t get you then ‘gators will. If they miss you, then you’ll die of heat and humidity just walking out to the mailbox.
Almost every county has its own county shooting range open to the public. So do a lot of the gun stores. We have Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground and soon we’ll have Constitutional Carry. So folks will shoot you, accurately, for looking at them wrong. Even the manatees (especially the manatees - hoon!) are dead shots.
If you live near the coast, every decade or so a hurricane will come by to try and scrub your house away.
So steer clear of Florida. You won’t like the critters, you won’t like the weather and you won’t like your neighbors.
Good, if it’s true. 🙂
Why would anybody want to move to a state that mandates vaccines and masks? And allows spoiled, obnoxious millennials and GenZ-ers to terrorize and destroy their cities?
America WAS a Constitutional Republic, based on states rights and limited government
It is steadily morphing into a central, deep-state bureaucratic government, with states as subservient provinces, run from DC, with crony-capitalist allies, a large government/political base, all supported and funded by massive spending and massive debt in printed money.
Kick-out the debt and printed money - and only then can the Constitutional Republic return.
Then how do you explain that Republicans now outnumber Democrats in registered voters in Florida for the first time in history ????
I think in the past you were correct, but I think that has all changed over the last couple of years...
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."
Insights welcome.
The ultimate remedy for unconstitutionally big federal and state governments manufacturing crises to oppress everybody under their boots...
Consider that all the states can effectively “secede” from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing the following.
Patriots need to primary federal and state elected officials who don't send voters email ASAP that clearly promises to do the following.
Federal and state lawmakers need to promise in their emails to introduce resolutions no later than 100 days after start of new legislative sessions that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to the states, the amendment limited to repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.
Again, insights welcome.
Yes. She did. But I cannot lord that over her. I wouldn’t do that.
Taxes more than jobs. Leftists don’t want to pay excessive taxes any more than anyone else so Californians flood into Texas and New Yorkers into Florida. People fleeing those states because of the loony politics aren’t the problem, those will vote conservative in their new homes. The problems are from those who flee the tax hellhole states then vote for democrats because they’re too stupid to realize that’s what made their old state a hellhole.
You say that like it would be a bad thing or something...
Hell, if we don’t have a dozen, dozen and a half nations within the borders of the defunct Las Estadas Diveedes by 2040, no one will have been really trying for freedom and self-government. Any fewer nations than that will have minorities that will create internal strife and trouble simply by being ‘too different’.
Secede and kick out DC.
I helped one of my favorite bartenders out just prior, a young lady who was happy enough with her own house but faced a dead end in her music career. She moved to a city she expressed open disdain for (Seattle) for that reason. I wished her success but we agreed she was going to have to keep her current political beliefs private or lose opportunities she might otherwise.
Precisely none of these half-dozen moves was for ideology. None. Zero.
You say that like it's a bad thing.
“But I cannot think of a single state that was once solidly Democrat that is now solidly GOP.”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
It is an evolutionary process.
VA results were very promising in 2021.
Keep your eye on the swing states and districts in 2022. Who retires among the D’s and who the R’s can recruit to run will make all the difference.
The state-level elections will continue to grow in importance.
Blue people are moving to red states because the thought of anybody living free and happy enrages them
