Japan confirmed its first case of the COVID-19 omicron variant on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.
The infection was found in a Namibian diplomat in his 30s who recently entered Japan, the AP noted. The diplomat, who tested positive for COVID-19 when he landed at Tokyo Narita Airport Sunday, is receiving care at a hospital.
Initially, the man had no symptoms. However, he is now showing signs of fever, Chief Cabinet Secretary Shigeyuki Goto said, according to the news service. Japanese health officials reportedly stated that the diplomat had been fully vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine as of July.

CEO Moderna says current vax will not stop Omicron. His people are telling him there is no world in which the vax is as good as against delta, and there is just no way it is going to be good. A tailored vax will absolutely be needed ASAP, and it may be futile because this variant and its mutation total has appeared 2 years before any model predicted. A new vax maybe can’t complete testing before the next appears.

Turns out PCR testing looks for 3 genes of the Covid type to be positive. One is the S gene and it is negative in Covid Omicron. So the standard PCR test finding 2 positive genes and S negative is declared Omicron positive, pending the usual genomic sequencing.
As for new payees into the system, that's what our southern open border is for. That's going to be our new birth rate supply.

PROOF or Omicron is just “we say this is Omicron.” After all the lies the “health” technocrats have spewed over the last 2 years, we need PROOF. Publish the test conditions and specs. They won’t, BTW.
