Indeed I’ve gotten a head start on that “doing nothing” thang! LOL! My favorite way to pass the time. We have good weather for it too.
How was your weekend? Bored after getting spend all those weekends at the Military Museum? Is it really cold there now?
It was a pretty quiet weekend here. The weather’s been decent but cooled off a little today due to a weak cold front passing through yesterday. Cold already tonight and the timing for that stinks. Our central unit conked out this evening! Trying to get Hubby’s butt in gear to turn on the gas heater in the living room that we brought over from the other house. Situations like this are WHY we brought it over here.
Bad timing for the central heat to conk out. I hope he realizes that the cold will affect him, too. DUH! Get’er done already! I hope the gas heater is in good shape and will warm all the rooms it’s needed in.
Turns out it isn’t the unit. We’re out of propane.
He tried to get the heater to come on and it won’t.
We discovered we had a gas leak at the unit a few months ago and Hubby got that fixed. At the time he said we hadn’t lost too much gas because the gauge on the big tank read 75% full.
That’s what it’s reading now! The gauge is broken. That explains why the gas company hasn’t topped it off at all this fall. They came, saw it (supposedly) didn’t need filling, and went on.
Filling that big tank is gonna HURT since propane has gone way up this year.
Aww, MAN! That truly sux! I hope you have some kind of alternate heat. Well, I guess you do....cats all around. LOL! I always fear that will happen, and I really sweated it during our bad freeze last winter. Lots suffered then.

There’s one 220v heater Hubby brought in from the garage. Brand new too. BUT plugs on those things aren’t uniform and neither are 220v outlets. The plug won’t fit in the outlet in the living room. *sigh*
If it wasn’t for bad luck, we’d have no luck at all. LOL
We’ll get through. Just have to hope they have a gas truck free to bring us some tomorrow.

Well, what a bummer this evening has turned out to be. I hope all is saved by the propane truck tomorrow! Stay warm! Do you have electric blankets? Maybe one or two brand new ones in Clara’s old junk? LOL!
Yeah, not exactly how we expected the evening to go. LOL But we’ll be fine. Just hoping a lot of folks don’t also need gas delivered tomorrow so we can get the tank filled quickly. They’ll have to get a new gauge for it but that can wait.
I sleep on a heating pad because of the ol’ bum back and that will keep me plenty warm while I sleep. It’s not frigid in here. Just a bit chilly. Dressing in layers works for that.
