The White House on Sunday called on people to get their booster shots as a matter of urgency, as the new variant Omicron was confirmed to have arrived in North America.
Joe Biden returned from his Thanksgiving break to hold an emergency meeting with his COVID advisors on Sunday evening - with Dr Anthony Fauci sounding a hopeful note, saying he believed 'existing vaccines are likely to provide a degree of protection against severe cases' from Omicron.
Two cases of Omicron were confirmed in Canada on Sunday - both in patients in the capital, Ottawa, who had traveled to Nigeria. Nigeria is not on the list of countries affected by Biden's travel ban, announced on Friday.

Interesting, they tell the world that the variants can evade the shots. The variants are new, meaning that they shots haven’t kept up with the mutation.
Get the shot anyway.
And there are millions, mostly Democrats, that have willingly joined the ‘covid shot cult’ and will run out and get anything that’s offered to them.
If these shots ending up becoming the death knell that some have said they were, this country is going to get real empty, real soon.
Manipulation, fear mongering, outright lies since this vaccine first does not protect against what it was designed for and certainly not against mutation.
Botswana has said it is MILD as well.

Good question, especially with this latest rush to judgment. I’m not anti-vax, but this doesn’t make sense telling everybody to hurry up and get boosters when they don’t really know if the booster will help at all. They don’t know what they’re doing. There’s no medical expertise here. It’s all political.

This is like a war being run by politicians advised by the arms manufacturers.
A shot that doesn’t protect against the variants isn’t going to do anything.
It’s like giving last year’s flu shot for this year’s strain, hoping it will work.
The whole thing now sounds like a big scam.

A booster shot based on the original version of the virus...
They’re saying the symptoms are totally different from Covid and very mild. Sounds like it’s burning itself out. And we know it spreads real, real easy....how?? There’s hardly any cases.
How do they have a shot for this strain already?
