Children being treated for transgender issues at Sweden’s Karolinska University Hospital have allegedly suffered severe injuries as a result of hormone puberty blockers.
Doctors at Karolinska University Hospital have been aware of injuries suffered by children as a result of hormone treatments, however, the injuries were not been made public until this week.
Of the 440 children treated at the hospital for gender dysphoria issues and were given hormone blockers, 13 have suffered serious injuries.
A girl who wished to become a boy at the age of 10 was put on a regimen of puberty-blocking drugs at the age of 11. Five years after the treatment, the effects of the hormone therapy resulted in osteoporosis and damaged the vertebrae in teen’s back.
The teen’s mother, Natalie said: “He felt so bad that he tried suicide attempts. We thought our child would feel better from the treatment. When we asked him regularly how his back felt, he said: ‘I’m in pain all the time’.”
Karolinska pediatric doctor Ricard Nergårdh commented on hormone blockers, “It’s chemical castration. It can affect mental health in a way that you didn’t didn’t want. It is important that the patient and the patient’s family are well informed about it.”
Hormone blockers have affected other children. One child suffered liver damage< Another had reduced bone density after two years of treatment.
Others were diagnosed with mental health issues, including thoughts of self-harm and suicide. Some regretted being put on the drugs after developing irreversible side effects such as vocal changes.
In May, Karolinska hospital announced it would be ending hormone treatment for children after witnessing the various side effects of the treatment.
The hospital is known as being the first in Sweden to offer gender identity assessments for children.

Exactly- Drs know the function & side effects of hormones. They chose to prescribe them. They may be shocked the damage revealed so quickly. But, they knew.
Wait till the mental damage this will cause kick in. And I don’t believe for a second that a 10 year old girl was trying to kill herself because she wanted to be a boy. More like the mother suffers penis envy and is committing child abuse due to her own mental illness.
He might have been doing it to be around the girl.
There are no words for why this should be allowed to happen with any minor child, let alone a prepubescent child. Anyone involved deserves to rot in eternal hell.

OMG people. Hormones are a natural thing. Used to be in the “old days” that if a boy was not maturing fast enough he was given male hormones.
Simply put ...Estrogen in females keeps our bones healthy. That’s why post menopause, when women lose estrogen, we can develop osteoporosis.
They gave this girl puberty blockers, essentially blocking estrogen while her bones were developing. The drs intention doesn’t matter. It’s as simple as 2+2= 4. These liberals keep saying it’s 5
Ok. But giving testosterone and reducing estrogen in a developing girl is like putting her thru menopause at 11. She basically had osteoporosis now. What you described is not the same thing.

I am not following you. I am opposed to these hormone blockers. I was merely pointing out if young people were deficient in their natural hormones, doctors used to supplement them, not change their sex by giving them blockers and the opposite hormones.
“Trans” children have already suffered severe injuries due to their parent’s acceptance of the idea of transgenderism and allowing their children to participate in that delusion rather than getting them the psychological help they need.
And apparently they work. No place in hell is hot enough for these monsters
The parents and doctors involved in this put Joseph Mengele (The Angel of Death at Auschwitz) to shame and they should be punished severely.
Mengele was a physician and member of the Waffen SS who, like the Swedes in this article, performed medical experiments on women and children and old people.

You are right. This is sadly just another case of 440 more millstones. The law of sowing and reaping is still in effect. These people will pay, whether they know it now or not.
You are right. These days it is terribly dangerous for any child to fantasize. Someone may take them seriously.
And what about the children who are sick. Anorexia, or other kinds of body dysmorphisms? Should we allow children to starve themselves to death, or to cut off a limb or two? Or is it just children with gender dysphoria that one must treat this way? Personally I consider the adults wh o carry out these "treatments" or allow the children to be treated this way the sick ones. Terrible, absolutely terrible.
I’m hoping people know hormones have been used to boost puberty in both female and male’s for about 70 years now. But, it’s not what they were doing and so it sounded like you were saying ‘drs have using hormones for many decades. Why are people sounding shocked?’
