RUSSIA and China's "deadly" alliance would effectively end the United States' status as the world's leading superpower, an expert has claimed.
On Tuesday, Moscow said it has ramped up its military "cooperation" with Beijing in light of alleged threats by Washington including US nuke bombers flying near their borders.
Tensions between the West and Russia are at boiling point over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the migrant crisis in Belarus.
Isabel Sawkins, a research fellow at the Henry Jackson Society specialising in Russia, told The Sun Online that Russia and China joining forces could "potentially could be catastrophic" for Western powers.
She said: "Bringing China into the conversation is a deadly addition for the West.
"This would mean America's standing in the world will be absolutely shot to pieces.
"If you have Russia and China working together the US is going to go into absolute panic.
"Because China is on its way up in the world. It's not only a massive economy - they have so much power.
"You would have China working with Russia and them both having this anxiety over the West - and that brings them together. That's a really terrifying prospect."

Our administration is already doing a pretty good job of doing this. The Afghanistan debacle would never have happened under another responsible administration. All they care about is wokeness and climate change.
This administration is a disaster in the making. Three more years of this will utterly destroy the country.

It’s a shame that we did not do more to work with Russia to get her closer to our side, they have more in common with us than they have with the Chi-Comms. We blew that in the 1990’s onward. Even so I would warn Russia that Red China is using her like a $10 hooker on skid row and there will be a time when Red China would turn on her. the Chi-Comms will keep saying “Aw-Soul, honorable Russia/Putin” and then find a knife in her back.

Putin is a b@st@rd but he is no fool. He’ll Trust Xi as far as he can throw him. Their actual level of cooperation will rival that of the Japanese and the Germans in WWII. Mostly lip service.
Forty or fifty years ago, all the talk was about Russia and China going to war over the Russian Far East.

Isabel needs to go bake some cookies. First, “Communist” governments make lousy partners because they lie to themselves and lie to their partners ergo they can’t TRUST each other which is one essential ingredient to being “partners”. Arguably Biden’s a communist and he lies all day every day.
SECOND, Japan, Italy and Germany thought it would be a good idea to be “partners” against the U.S. America hung most of the leaders of all 3 of those countries.
THIRD, on 30 December 2006, America hung Saddam Hussein who thought he didn’t need any partners.
Conclusion: History proves that “partnering” up against America in a war is most likely not going to work out well.

Can’t buy it the Communist Chinese would cooperate with any other power.
They think their way is the final and last word and others are stupid and inferior to argue with the obvious.
So compromise wouldn’t work with Russians and they would fight each other.
It is worse than this. There are different types of communists, some are more malignant than others while others are not that different from capitalists (China). One particular malignant type is early revolutionary communists that rules USSR in 1920s and tried to transform the world to their ideas.
In a recent speech Putin explicitly compared the current rules of the US to exactly that brand of communists. No alliance or cooperation is possible with them.
If Republicans do not take the house and senate next year our economy (and thus the military) is done. The new midterm variant is troubling because the Dems will just cheat all over again. Pubbies must win overwhelmingly and outside the margin of cheat.
