Comedic actor Seth Rogen sparked a Twitter frenzy after he shrugged off Los Angeles criminals breaking into cars, suggesting it's simply part of normal life in a big city.
The viral uproar began when the "Knocked Up" star reacted to a tweet from YouTube personality Casey Neistat, who wrote on Wednesday, "so our cars got robbed this morning because Los Angeles is a crime riddled 3rd world s---hole of a city" and expressed gratitude toward the LA Police Department for arresting the criminal and retrieving all the stolen belongings.
"Dude I’ve lived here for over 20 years. You’re nuts haha," Rogen reacted. "It’s lovely here. Don’t leave anything valuable in it. It’s called living in a big city."
"i can still be mad tho right?" Neistat asked, adding, "feel so violated."
"You can be mad but I guess I don’t personally view my car as an extension of myself and I’ve never really felt violated any of the 15 or so times my car was broken in to," Rogen responded.
"Once a guy accidentally left a cool knife in my car so if it keeps happening you might get a little treat."
Neistat told Rogen he "didn't get any treats" and that the thief had taken decorations for his daughter's seventh birthday party but then asked, "how did you get your car broken into 15 times?"
"I lived in West Hollywood for 20 years and parked on the street," Rogen wrote.
"Also it sucks your s--- was stolen but LA is not some shithole city. As far as big cities go it has a lot going for it."
Critics piled on the wealthy actor for being so dismissive of car burglaries in Tinseltown, many accusing him of being "privileged."

And Democrats control the cities. Control the big cities, and you control the state.
Its part of city life for people who have to park on the street. Or people who can’t pay $30 per hour for a parking garage or valet. I am sure Seth just hands his Porsche to the valet and goes about his business.
Take away his appeal and use of 6th grade potty mouth language and the dude’s career never happens.
If he pretends it’s cool to have his car broken into 15 times, maybe it’s Stockholm syndrome at this point.
I'm guessing the assh*le has his own private security...Read on...

Comedy actor Seth Rogen has another hit on his hands in West Hollywood. A month after listing his Spanish-style retreat, the actor-director just sold it for $2.16 million — or $35,000 more than he was asking.
It’s not his main residence; that one spans 10 acres a few miles north in Hollywood Hills West, and he shelled out nearly $8 million for the nature-oriented retreat complete with streams, trees and trails in 2014...
Correct. It is now ‘situation normal’ in big cities.
Normalcy is what’s no longer normal.
2019 Data.
Murders 258
Rapes 2,274
Assaults 17,216
Oh and famous Hollywood stars without private security = Zero.
I guess that’s called living in a big city, mmmm Seth?

Hilarious story! Made my day.
Or his house.
Whenever I see these leftists say stupid things like this, they should be repaid in kind, especially if it is a group of poor whites that commit the break in.
He’s right, it is normal in big cities.
That’s why I left the big city 12 years ago. Best. Move. Ever.
Just another rich self loathing Jew.
Virtue Soapboxing is hard.
Reminds me of all the leftist karens and homosexuals who live in old, gentrified homes on the edge of the ghetto in our local city.
They will have multiple "Black Lives Matter" signs on their lawns and windows, right next to the multiple "guarded by ADT security" signs on their lawn and windows.
You should take it personally, Seth.
Those weren't thieves.
They were people who had to sit through your movies.
Would be so nice seeing him doing a reverse mortgage ad or asking viewers to check their zip code to see if they can get money back from social security.
In the 80s in NYC, small piles of shattered green glass in the street were common in residential areas.
Back then, BMW stood for, “break my window”. They had high end radios.
My brother in Seattle has to park on the street. He just leaves it unlocked so they won’t break the windows.
