The Real Lesson of the Rittenhouse Trial
American Thinker.com ^ | November 26, 2021 | Paul Gottfried

Posted on 11/26/2021 3:04:25 AM PST by Kaslin

In a critical assessment of the Rittenhouse trial, Conrad Black denies that the outcome of the case vindicated the American justice system.

Because of the confluence of a competent and determined judge, courageous and diligent jurors, ludicrously incompetent and dishonest prosecutors, and enough intelligent media attention to counter the 15 months of biased reporting that could easily poison the jury pool, justice was clearly done, to peals of horror of the Americophobic riffraff that infects most of America’s media. It would be a tragedy if this exemplary outcome were to whitewash what is in large measure an evil justice system.

Black is mainly concerned here with the plea-bargaining system that state prosecutors use to condemn defendants even before a trial has taken place. But this is not the part of Black’s criticism that riveted my attention. The American justice system has become “evil” for a reason that Black only mentions in passing, namely the role of the media in inciting mob violence by racializing criminal cases.

We saw this play out in the Rittenhouse case; we are now witnessing something similar taking place during the trial of three white men in Brunswick, Georgia, who shot a young black, Ahmaud Arbery. During the thirteen days that the trial was in session, blacks, many of them carrying guns, demonstrated in front of the courthouse. The mainstream media, which raged against Kyle Rittenhouse for carrying a rifle in violence-wracked Kenosha, took no offense that the antiwhite Left paraded around with firearms. Those bearing these arms enjoyed the status of victims, which was applied to the rioters and looters in Kenosha as well as to gun-toting BLM members in Georgia. Apparently bearing arms, even illegal ones, is not a bad thing, if the bearer is a nonwhite racialist or a crazed white leftist,

No one on our side would have done a thing had they railroaded Rittenhouse.

The Chump Right is slave to the phony "rule of law".

The Left isn't.

AND.

It ain't over. Merrick Himmler's minions may yet indict Kyle Rittenhouse.

On rare occasions cheaters do not prosper?
But then again, the very well paid propagandist, have convinced a weak mind like Darrel Brooks to kill at least 6 people in order to avenge the death of a fellow pervert? felon.

"The Chump Right is slave to the phony "rule of law"."

That's because, from Day One, Republicans are the party of the Constitution -- we (Federalists/Whigs/Republicans) are the people who wrote & ratified the Constitution.

From Day One, Democrats were the anti-Constitution party -- anti-Federalists/anti-Administration/Democratics/nullifiers... and still today are at war on the United States.

So Republicans do our best to live by the Constitution we wrote.
Democrats never gave a d*mn about it, and still don't.
They only play along with us so long as they can win.

Compare and contrast to the just completed trial of the three white guys who got convicted of murder.

Does the general public know...

(1) Citizen arrests were legal in Georgia the day the dead guy was killed.

(2) The dead guy was videotaped three times INSIDE the home that was burgled for thousands of dollars of construction materials - clearly, there was probable cause for arresting him.

(3) The dead man grabbed the barrel of the rifle that killed him - clearly, the shooter was acting in self-defense.

In spite of those facts, I have not read even one spirited defense of the three citizen neighbors who are now in prison for murder.

Well, our overlords probably feel it’s cheaper to send 3 men to jail than have the “protestors” destroy several cities.
Beside the president is a democrat. Now if he were a Republican..

“ludicrously incompetent and dishonest prosecutors”

They had nothing to work with, this being a textbook perfect case of self defense. Their only hope was to goad the judge into declaring a mistrial without prejudice, and judge didn’t fall for it.

I’m on the fence with that one.

Yes citizen arrests are legal in GA. Legal if done right, no protections if screwed up. They screwed it up bad.

Yes he was a fleeing felon. He did not constitute a grave threat to the community. Escalation into realm of lethal force was not warranted.

Yes he was a career criminal. Good riddance in retrospect, but they didn’t know at the time so couldn’t have influenced their decision.

Yes he grabbed the gun. Spontaneous suicide. They didn’t have to bring the gun within arm’s reach.

I’d like to give them a spirited defense, and have tried to in the past.
Here’s the best I can give now:
If police won’t/can’t do their job, citizens will - with excessive force, lethal consequences, and a SSS attitude. This case won’t so much stop such responses to chronic crime, as persuade citizens to leave no trace.

Re: "Escalation into realm of lethal force was not warranted."

The dead man charged the guy with the rifle and tried to pull the gun away from him. There is a video.

Also, within the recent past, the Police tried to arrest the now dead man, he resisted, and both officers pulled out their guns.

Saw the video. No reason to bring the muzzle within his arm’s reach (lunge distance included).

I’m not exonerating dead guy. He earned what he got. They just didn’t need to help him to it so much.

In Russia, Putin DOES NOT put up with the media trying to agitate people for political purposes...and it’s a shame we have to.

This was as clear a case of self-defense you’ll ever see. So much so that if Rittenhouse was black, there would not have been a trial in the first place, nor should there have been.

And if Rittenhouse’s attackers had been black, Rittenhouse would’ve been convicted.

Just my opinion.

I THINK that we’re talking about “WHO” the benefit of doubt goes to. Does it go to Arbery or to the 3 white guys? Right now, in my mind, it goes to Amaud Arbery but that COULD change as more facts like you raise MAY come out.

If these guys are guilty, and they APPEAR to be, I’m all for their conviction. But, if the police and media promote and allow intimidation by local gun carrying punks, I’m not.

Indict him for what?

Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria was Stalin’s chief of the Soviet secret police apparatus, the NKVD.

It was Beria, infamously, who said, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.”

I'm old enough to remember when Navy veteran and shaman clown Jacob Chansley got 41 months in prison for parading through the US capitol building.

All Merrick Beria has to do is get Rittenhouse in front of a DC district judge or jury...

Re: get Rittenhouse in front of a DC district judge or jury

A federal crime in Kenosha would be tried in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin - most likely in Green Bay or Milwaukee.
