A $17,500 reward is available for information on the attempted armed robbery and shooting involving a KRON4 security guard.
Police say the incident was an attempted armed robbery to steal camera equipment.
The KRON4 crew was covering a story on a recent smash-and-grab robbery at the Prime 356 clothing store on the 300 block of 14th Street.

But the reporter could not provide a description of the sex, size, or race of the attackers. Great reporting.
However, in todays environment, by not describing, she perfectly described them.
yep. pravda media tells the story by not telling it.
They were wearing masks
Did the guard shoot back and this "victim" is actually an assailant?
Attempted robbery strikes state propaganda team.
Film at eleven.
This sounds like Kabul, where you hire a Taliban guy or two....to shuffle around the news crew.
And the guard was probably wearing something like those terrible 9 mm guns that have 10 round magazines.
Eventually they will smarten up and have a minimum of two guards armed with AR-15’s with 30 round magazines and trained in defensive tactics.
They don’t need cops, they need people who served in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Also, to be fair about it, those underserved by the Video Camera Industry, should be given only a citation with a promise to appear, if they liberate less than $100,000 worth of equipment (adjusted for inflation).
In my youth the police typically carried .38 six-shot revolvers.

Usually a S&W model 10.
Be totally ‘WOKE’ she couldn’t as she didn’t know the attackers preferred pro-nouns
Forty years ago, my duty pistol was a .357 Smith & Wesson. I was allowed to carry the pistol, but was restricted to.38 cartridges. I loaded 5 .38s, and one .357, with the .357 being the chamber which would fire first. Figured my first shot was the one which would count the most. Never had to test my theory.
Same here. SW model 19. They said no 357 so we had 110gr super vels.
Apparently, there is a market for high-end video equipment?
The video news people need to muscle up.
They may have to charge more for "news", or cut some corners.
I GOT IT! They can lengthen the commercials!!!
So, the news crew was on location reporting on a robbery, and during their reporting they were the targets of armed robbers trying to steal their cameras. This resulted in an exchange of gunfire there on the street with injuries. Sounds like a lovely neighborhood...
“In my youth the police typically carried .38 six-shot revolvers.”
In my youth we only loaded five into six-shooters.
Strange that is exactly how my agency worked. They also would only give us 38 WAD cutters to practice and qualify quarterly.
We figured the only reason they did it was to save money. Like many other agents I just bought my own magnums and had a full load out while on duty. You know the story"Better to be tried by twelve and carried by six".
I figured if it was a good shoot it would not matter. If it was a bad shoot it also would not matter.

Why one?
