US vulnerable to Chinese electromagnetic attack, experts say

Experts are warning that the United States is vulnerable to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack from adversaries such as China, and that time is running out to invest in defending the country from it.

"That poses a real threat of possibly being able to win a war with a single blow by means of an EMP attack," Peter Vincent Pry, the executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, said during a virtual forum hosted by the Universal Peace Federation Tuesday. "Moreover … they don’t envision employing an EMP by itself. It would be used in conjunction with cyberattacks and physical sabotage, and non-nuclear EMP."

Not only China would like to do this, but also Russia, Iran and N. Korea. After it hits the estimate is 90% of US population dead. Then any one of them could invade virtually unopposed.

Begs the question of what the nano-particles from the vaccine will do in the human body if this happens.

NOT POSSIBLE. We spend 3 times as much on our military as China and 5 times as much as Russia, therefore we are INVINCIBLE (at least according to some here).

There is essentially no way to sufficiently harden the grid against a nation-state exoatmospheric nuke of sufficient power. If you defend/harden for xx kW/Sq meter/ second, then the bad guys just throw bigger or more nukes up there.

MAD does apply here though. US Boomers would lay waste to the attacking country.

A combo cyber and locally kinetic attack is more likely.

Military hardware is designed to survive EMP. But having every car built after the 1980s going out would be a real problem. Time to build a Farady cage for your car and electronics.

P.S. EMP wouldn’t be good for the Chinese or Russians either. I don’t think there are many point/coil cars in those countries either. Or tube radios.

ingle EMP

There is no single weapon large enough take out the entire U.S. in a single EMP attack. Now, the right, or wrong, corona discharge from our own Sun *might* just wreak everything with a large enough EMP pulse. The last CME hit the earth in 1859, when we had little in the way of electronics.

The harbor is too shallow for torpedoes at Pearl..
The Chinese won’t intervene...
Vietnamese don’t fight during New Years...
The Ambassador told Saddam to stay out of Kuwait...
and no one will ever fly into a skyscraper....

Beauty of EMP is it will kill the cities. Thanks to many years of EPA and Democrats, most our industry have re-located out of large cities.
Americans aren’t going to miss Democrat run cities very much.

Total fear mongering bullshit.
Aside from said BS, all vital military structures and equipment are hardened.
I’m just as concerned with men in lab coats turning clock arms...

If the US disappears, so does China. We are their largest market.

B-52s, B-1s and B-2s are also EMP hardened, as are Minutemen II's. Boomers would be saved to mop up.

The book is very convincing and plausible. If you haven't read it, you'll find it very scary. Forstchen's follow-up "One Year After" was equally unnerving.

We've been hearing "we are running out of time" regarding EMP attacks for 20 to 30 years, yet seemingly nothing ever gets done about it.

Another way to read this is that the experts have done nothing to protect us from EMP attack. Why do we have experts again?

US Boomers would lay waste to the attacking country.

IF you can identify the attacking country. That is a really big if.

We have been hearing about this threat for decades. Have we not developed a countermeasure yet?

You’re so right! I even used the first one here within the past week.

Just perfectly defines NORMALCY BIAS. Iraq won’t invade Kuwait...well, because they never have invaded Kuwait. No one will fly into a skyscraper...well, because no one has ever flown into a skyscraper. The Chinese won’t invade Taiwan...well, because China hasn’t (yet) invaded Taiwan.

Life is so easy when you can revert to Normalcy Bias, but eventually you run out of luck...

Oh PLEASE, Hitler is NOT going to throw us Jews into Death Camps...well, because he hasn’t yet, and besides, he needs us for his economy and war machine to work.

This might explain all of the horses and chariots taking part in the battle of Armageddon.
