The Scots made it over somehow or another ...centuries ago. At the closest point it’s only about 13 miles.

The idea doesn’t seem to make much sense. The part of Scotland closest to Northern Ireland is remote from any big cities. What if the Scots decide to secede from the UK in a future referendum? There is no bridge between Sicily and mainland Italy, or between Spain and Morocco, both of which are narrower straits than that between Ireland and Great Britain.

They need to hire California’s high speed rail geniuses.

When I took a bus tour of the British Isles back in 2006, we took the car ferry from Pembrokeshire, Wales to Waterford, Ireland. It took over 3 hours to get there. You couldn't see past your hand because of the fog, and the Irish Sea was very turbulent. We took the car ferry back across from Dublin, Ireland to Glasgow, Scotland. It was just as long a trip...or at least it seemed so, and the weather wasn't any better.
Also at the time, in Ireland, they were building some kind of tunnel for trucks to drive through to lessen the amount of traffic on the highway. According to our guide, who was Irish, they hadn't made the tunnel tall enough for most lorries to fit through it. I don't know how they worked the problem out. I'm sure Pete Buttplug would have said the tunnel was racist.

This should be piece of cake!
Ask AOC, she will tell you how to make tunnel across the Ocean or to Hawaii!

The hippie movement basically ended the ability to build large projects in the United States - we just work around the edges now. China, of course, doesn’t permit hippies.

Demographics trends show that Catholics will soon be the majority in NI and as a result NI will soon be breaking away from the United Kingdom. Then such a bridge would be silly, silly, silly.
