The Norfolk Virginia Police Department fired Sgt. William K. Kelly III for donating anonymously $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense.
The department only found out because a hacker group released the information of the anonymous users.
A jury found Rittenhouse not guilty on all counts.
Kelly wants his job back.
Kelly told The Daily Mail he thought Rittenhouse was innocent based on videos. He also explained why he donated:
‘Everything I’m saying is just my personal opinion. I’ve been a homicide detective, a violent crimes investigator for years. I have a background. I watched the video of the shooting and I’d seen the video of the journalists of Mr. Rittenhouse before the shooting and the protesters before the shooting and I thought it painted a pretty clear picture that Mr. Rittenhouse had a very strong claim for self-defense.

Just give him ALL the assets of the city of Norfolk Virginia, that should cover it.
I hope he sues the F out of Norfolk.
I suspect that is what will happen.
Whoever fired him is a nut case lib that is probably so angry that Kyle got off that he would never allow this cop back on the force.
I suspect he knows that and is setting the city up for a lawsuit.
Makes no difference if Kyle was found guilty or not, he has aright to donate his money how he sees fit. I hope he owns the town when this is done and the leadership of that police department all removed.
In communist regimes and communities, they reserve the right to fire anyone who has an open mind
The FIB will kick his door in soon! They will charge him with financing terrorism!
Double standards all around these days, huh?
Some cities have abolished bail. Then Kampala Hairass group funds bail for all kinds of detainees so they can get out on the street.
Norfolk PD acted on illegally released info; and they violated this cops civil rights by firing him for exercising his constitutional rights.
I sure hope he persists and gets a large settlement.
His boss was in uniform and protesting with blm last year
Duplicitous horse crap
Its a political necessity that the City of Norfolk be sued but even more important that the actual official who terminated him be sued as an individual in state and Federal court for violating his civil rights under the Constitutions of the state of Virginia and the United States. These firings and “cancellations” by state officials will only stop when the officials themselves are held personally accountable for civil rights violations. Aggressive lawyering is necessary.
And rename the town ‘Yorfolked’.
if it was not for double standards Liberals would have no standards at all.
Yes!
Forget the job. Sue for more than you ever would have made!
LOL
Work a job again????
Dude. Empty their bank accounts and retire. Your moral courage served you up a winning lottery ticket.
