A former New York Times reporter claims the newspaper held her story about the ravaging effects of the Kenosha riots on impoverished neighborhoods until after the 2020 elections.
Nellie Bowles went to the Wisconsin city to report on the racial justice riots in the wake of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in August 2020, according to a Thursday post on partner Bari Weiss’ Substack channel Common Sense.
Protests, riots and civil unrest engulfed the city for days, and the events were the backdrop of then-17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse’s fatal shooting of two people.
Bowles said she was sent to report on the “mainstream liberal argument” that vandalizing buildings for racial justice was not detrimental because businesses had insurance.
“It turned out to be not true,” Bowles wrote. “The part of Kenosha that people burned in the riots was the poor, multi-racial commercial district, full of small, underinsured cell phone shops and car lots. It was very sad to see and to hear from people who had suffered.”

All the news that fits.
Their agenda.
This constant push that insurance will pay for all damage is BS. Someone ought to go and do a hour-long report on the reality.
In some cases, even if the structure was fully protected...it could be months before you get the check itself, and then find that the amount of the check is only 85-percent. If you did rebuild...the insurance company will weigh all of the local damage and probably triple your insurance in the future.
Local pub had contractor-caused fire in their kitchen.
The insurance companies fought, the contractor fought and the new appliances they bought to refurbish are sitting in container ships off the coast of California
Meanwhile, their monthly expenses go on, and they have had no income for 10 months
🤨 My shocked face.
Totally awful

It's not a valid argument anyway, it's reprehensible and should result in high profile prosecutions.

The event was sponsored by a group called The Peoples Revolution,

“Words are difficult right now, a lot to process,” Grosskreutz said to the crowd of about 100 people. “At no point, regardless of the topic, whether you are for or against the topic that is being protested, nobody should fear for their safety.”
Grosskreutz thanked the protesters and said they are “the reason I’ve been out here, am out here, and still will be out here.”
“Long live the revolution,” Grosskreutz said at the end of his speech, lifting his right arm and making a fist above his head.
Afterward, Grosskreutz told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he is still processing what happened to him.
“This (expletive) hurts, for sure,” Grosskreutz said, wiggling the fingers on his wounded arm.
Well, Mr. Sauerkruetz, I didn’t know the riot was for social justice. Please come right in and I’ll get you matches.

That there are people at the NYT that actually have this sort of mindset is astounding.
All the news that’s shit we print.
Sadly, this is not news anymore. Just business as usual.
According to the CBC and Trudeau, it’s all the fault of Global Warming... Then again, when you buy a home on a flood plain... It will occasionally flood.
No need they always shoot themselves in the foot on every draw.
She's a liberal contrarian, like Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi, who is pushing back against the authoritarian "woke" orthodoxy that has taken over the Left.
