This is what the majority of the "people" of California vote for...again and again and again.
They even had the chance to nix the last gas tax at the polls - and they voted to keep it:
2018:
Proposition 6: Voters reject gas tax repeal
Of course, many of the idiots I've spoken to at my (former) workplace make no connection between their voting habits and what the consequences are in their day-to-day lives.

Anyone who complains about gas prices should be required to say if he voted for Biden. If the answer is “yes”, just shut up and eat yer peas.

I moved to central, rural Kentucky in 2011.
Right now we’re paying $2.89 a gallon for gas.
When we moved here it was around $3.65.
So far we’re doing pretty good. However, I have a 250 gallon tank and pump near my garage at home. We’re using it instead of the gas station to use it up (the fuel is almost a year old). I’m getting ready to refill, just in case...

Why would anyone in California fill up their car? Unless it was to LEAVE California.

Back in the day, like a year ago, gas was around $2 a gallon in Texas It wasn't all that long ago that it dipped BELOW $2/gal here in the People's Republic of New York.
Now it's edging up to $4 -- TWICE what it was only a year or so ago.
WAY TO GO BRANDON.

"Filling up your car in California is now costing you more than ever" In South Central, it is actually cheaper just to steal a different car.

I don’t know if this is the right thread, but can anyone tell me how long it takes to recharge an electric car at one of those charging stations?
To: marcusmaximus
Not just California. Nearby Nevada also has new Biden-priced gasoline, most over $4 per gallon and a couple of stations asking over $5. This is an incredible increase over the past eleven months. And my contract mileage reimbursement has not changed.
