The title of the article does not seem to match the context of what he said

The last time I got a call from an R organization I told them I don’t donate to retreaters. They talk a big game before every election and the moment they’re in office they retreat, cower and appease.

Yes he did. "Glenn Youngkin rebuked vaccine and mask mandates put in place by outgoing Gov. Ralph Northam."

Who is the National File and what does "will reportedly" mean?

"Youngkin’s ultimately successful gubernatorial campaign was largely centered on fixing Virginia’s broken public school system, ending tyrannical COVID-19 lockdowns, and stopping mandates. During a debate with failed Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe, Youngkin slammed his opponent for wanting “employers to fire employees who don’t get the vaccine.”

Wow Youngkin is not even in office, and has already broken his pledege with Virginia voters.

Doing nothing about exisiting masks and experimental gene therapies is being complicit.

“I think Youngkin is wise to stay out of it.”

He could stay out of it because of the state constitution or whatever his reason. However, he can give a strong opinion against and recommend people vote out those enforcing such rules.

But he chooses the cowardly way out. Masking and vaccinating kids are destroying them. The gutless coward should speak out if his hands are truly tied.

I’m struggling to see what the guy said that was wrong. Sounds like he’s saying he isn’t going to impose mandates and you guys in VA need to get off your dead ass and take control of your local school boards, etc., -not just sit back and figure he’s going to fight all your battles for you. Getting the former dictator out of the way is the first step in taking your state back. You didn’t elect a nanny, you put a Gov. in place who won’t get in your way to reversing the damage that was done by the Dem.

Fight the battles you can win.
VA is going to take a long time to get it back to reliable Red State.
If ever....

Yes sir they will. And I couldn’t agree more about the perfect example of insanity.

It doesn’t take an Einstein to figure out that doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is NOT sane.

And the worst part is George Washington warned of this day in his Presidential farewell address.

So, the Governor is rejecting the demand that he act unilaterally in a top-down command and control capacity.

Isn’t that the very ESSENCE of Constitutional, Limited Government; that the actual decisions that affect citizens are being made at the most local possible level??

Other than exposing a glaring propensity on the right to sourly rail against what would be insta-labeled “totalitarian” or “tyrannical” if a Democrat did the opposite...

Look, had a Democrat Governor said they would top-down IMPOSE Statewide mask and vaccination mandates all you people would come UNGLUED! You despise CA Democrat Governor Newsom for this very reason, among others.

So, here’s a Republican saying he’s NOT going to do those things, but will leave it to the local municipalities and how do you react?? You STILL come totally UNGLUED!

Ya hate leftist top-down control everyone politics, but you equally hate right-wing hands-off local control politics.

AND ya hate anarchy.

DA FUQ can anyone do to please you???

Your utter implacability is a thoroughgoing argument in FAVOR of dictatorship: you refuse to be pleased, and you’ll never STFU no matter what, so the State may as well drive everything right from the top down and be done with it.

SOMEHOW I think that’s probably NOT what you want, but you need to get your impulse control nailed down and recognize Constitutionally supported victory when you see it.

Democrats impeached trump over literal lies

Republicans won’t even try to impeach the current administration over multiple constitutional violations

Youngkin never previously stated or indicated he would forcibly end local mandates, but did state - and reiterated here - that no such mandates would come from state level.

Look at all the Trump-Pence voters jump like electrocuted monkeys because Youngkin is doing exactly what he said he would do - return the school boards to local power.

Dance you dumb monkeys dance I said!

Indeed there is a difference.

He will let local counties and cities set policies. Way more answerable to their voters.

That is better far better than a state wide mandate.

Some of you people need to decide if you like big government or not. Do you want the Governor to decide everything for an entire state or do you want to leave local decisions to local governments? Or do you only want a Governor to make these decisions if you agree with them?
