Rust script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, the first person to call 911 after Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot by Alec Baldwin on the film's set last month, is filing a lawsuit against Alec Baldwin and other producer with high powered lawyer Gloria Allred as her attorney.

'Alec Baldwin intentionally, without just cause or excuse, cocked and fired the loaded gun even though the upcoming scene to be filmed did not call for the cocking and firing of the firearm,' Allred said. 'Mr. Baldwin chose to play Russian Roulette with a loaded gun without checking it and without having the armorer do so.'
'Mr. Baldwin cannot hide behind the Assistant Director to attempt to excuse the fact that he did not check the gun himself,' continues the complaint from Mitchell, who was in the church location on the Bonanza Creek Ranch when Baldwin's 'quick draw' rehearsal turned tragic.
The attorney added that Baldwin should have assumed the gun was loaded until it was checked that it was not loaded.

I though it was a rehearsal and ‘set up’. That interminable part in between shooting scenes, takes a couple of hours of “messing around” to get ready to shoot 3 minutes.
I’m glad someone’s suing. If the dead woman’s husband doesn’t care about his dead wife enough to find out what really happened to his wife, maybe we can find out this way.
Anyone else would have been charged.

My question, before whether the gunfire was in the script is; Were the cameras rolling? Was this an official take? Had the Director shouted, “Action!”? Or did Baldwin merely cock the piece and fire it directly at the victim?
Take this claim with a great big grain of salt. Gloria Allred is making the claim. It may be true. It may be false. But that has nothing to do with Allred’s arguments.

Understandable. Baldwin forced her to watch a woman die in the context of a day at work. I’d guess she’s furious.
Premeditated murder, Baldwin knew exactly what he was doing.
Gloria Allred is still around? Her daughter (with the same legal firm?) faded after her close association with Harvey Weinstein became known.
