Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) raised more than $2 million in the 24 hours after he announced his challenge Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), his campaign said on Wednesday.
The one-day haul — the largest of any statewide midterm campaign in Texas history, according to O’Rourke’s campaign — is an early sign that the former presidential candidate remains a formidable fundraising force more than three years after his high-profile yet ultimately unsuccessful campaign to oust Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
To be sure, he’ll need to continue raising money at a breakneck pace if he hopes to catch up with Abbott. The incumbent governor has some $55 million in the bank heading into his 2022 reelection bid.

This is usually the case, that Democrats seem to be out-donating and the GOPs are running behind on campaign $. In Beat-o’s case, he’s got all those globalists in Mexico/Central & South America wanting him to win.
Out of state. Out of country. Soros, Zuckerberg, et al.
A fool and their money are soon parted.
This is a major distraction campaign while the real focus will be on other offices and local elections of RATS. They offered Beto a chance to “run” a losing campaign as a distraction. He and his team will do exactly as expected. There will be SUPER, FLAMBOYANT and NASTY accusations during the campaign to distract and damage.

I know why this arsewhole keeps running for office - he’s somehow weaseled his way into the position of Democrat Candidate in Texas and its very profitable.
The real question is why Democrats allow it.

We need to make sure this guy runs for something every two years.
No worries. I track the Facebook pages of people fleeing California to Texas. Virtually 100% of them are conservatives who want out of “commiefornia” as they call it. Literally thousands of people so excited to get out and get to Texas.
Other destinations include Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina....they want out of California to a Red State. It’s exciting to see.
Beto has 2 chances.....slim and one and slim just left. Besides.....he’s a weird dude.

We should all mail a C note to Abbot’s coffers. Include a note asking that he spend some of it on getting re-elected and then spend the rest on the wall.
This guy just has loser written all over.
It’s amazing that people have this much money to flush down a toilet.
.....I hope everyone remembers the “surplus funds” rule. Meaning, whatever funds are left over Beto get’s to keep.
So, in my opinion, he doesn’t give a damn whether he wins or not. He’s just in it for the millions he gets to keep.
