Don’t they realize people replant trees? I’ve planted several thousand this year.

Idiots.
We will let our people starve and go cold from lack of shelter to assuage our own personal religious guilt.

...thereby driving up food prices in the EU. I have no idea why anyone would actually want to be part of the EU.

How do you have a coffee, palm oil, or cocoa plantation in a forest?
Do Europeans grow wheat in the forest?

What cracks me up is the bit about wood products. To sell cut-down trees, you have to be able to prove that you didn’t cut down trees.

Not quite every one, but the vast majority of them. Including most of the American mid-west, breadbasket to the world.

EU plans to ban food imports from deforested areasThe more I read about the EU bullies, the more I think the Russians should cut off natural gas to 'em unless they become "preferred customers" by buying deforestation products in bulk.
It's perfectly proper to tell SOCIALISTS what they ARE going to buy, or else.

The planet is, thanks to more Co2, greening.
As a matter of fact, we have too many trees in areas, e.g. California. That’s why we get all that forest fires!
If you do not cut the trees, the nature will burn them!

News flash. Every field is ‘deforested’. That’s so the SUN can hit the ground and WARM the earth.
