WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — North Carolina’s requirement that transgender people undergo sex reassignment surgery as part of establishing their identity is discriminatory and does not align with a majority of states and medical organizations, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in federal court.
Three law firms joined to file the lawsuit in North Carolina’s Middle District Court on behalf of an adult and two minors.
The lawsuit said the adult plaintiff, Lillith Campos, is incorrectly identified on her birth certificate as male. It added that another plaintiff, a young man only identified as C.B., is incorrectly identified as female on his birth certificate while a third, M.D., is a girl incorrectly identified on her birth certificate as male.
“For transgender persons, the sex designation on their original birth certificate is inaccurate because they were assigned the incorrect sex at birth. Correcting the sex designation on their birth certificate is critically important for transgender people,” the lawsuit says. “Indeed, few things are as essential to one’s personhood and regular interaction with the world as being able to accurately present one’s identity to the world.”
The lawsuit seeks to have the state to declare the surgical requirement unlawful, and for North Carolina to be require to provide accurate birth certificates to transgender people born in the state without the need for surgery.
Campos, the adult plaintiff, has encountered employment discrimination, according to Gonzalez-Pagan. Her employer doesn’t provide coverage for gender-affirming care in the business’ health insurance plan, which prevents her from getting the surgery required by the state, he said.

I’m ignorant, I admit, about some of this LGBT stuff. And i also don’t want to pull down anyone’s pants to establish the sex of somene.
But, is someone transgendered, if they dress up as the opposite sex but don’t get surgery? If they haven’t had surgery, aren’t they just cross dressers? And legally still the sex they were born as?
In my book, that's fraud! Imagine some poor sap dating someone who altered their birth certificate and not knowing during the fraudulent dating times. That's grounds for suing the pervert tranny.
It’s pretty easy. Biology says, a male anatomy is a male, a female anatomy is a female. If a man wants to be called a woman, he should get sexual reassignment surgery, because he wants to be female. Just makes sense, and will eliminate all confusion.
I am backing this idea. But it might mean the state will have to pay for the surgeries, but so be it. You want to be a girl, you will be surgically transformed.
I wonder if this will change many boys from going through with this?

These people are insane. There’s either a penis or a vagina. In incredibly rare circumstances there may be both. But that’s a vanishingly small percentage of human live births.

Imagine a scenario where there is an accident. They are identified by their driver’s license and the medical team gets a surprise. They are still lying about their sex whether they have surgical mutilation or not.
There was an episode on CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) about just such a scenario. The victim was identified by DNA as one sex and by Driver’s License as another.
I just checked online, and it said 4-13% of transgenders have had genital rejiggering surgery.
