Former Clinton White House press secretary Joe Lockhart called former president Trump a "coward" who he said is "hiding behind lawyers" from a select congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack by his supporters on the Capitol.
"One would think Trump would want to come to DC and take on the D’s. What a stage to own the libs," Lockhart, now a CNN political commentator, said in a tweet on Tuesday. "But he won’t because of executive privilege — give me a break he won’t testify because he is a coward. A coward. Afraid and hiding behind lawyers."
