What with middle-class Americans starting to reject the woke rule of the educated and credentialed class, does that mean America is ready for a new “fusionism” -- a combination of traditionalism and capitalism of the kind put together by Frank Meyer under the patronage of William F. Buckley half a century ago? That’s what Donald Devine asks at the American Spectator in “Is Conservative Fusionism Dead or Simply Confronting Changing Times?”
And he has a book out, The Enduring Tension: Capitalism and the Moral Order, that according to Amazon’s “look inside,” digs into critiques of capitalism and the western social order in Rousseau, Marx, Locke, Schumpeter, and also Hayek’s critique of the modern conceit that “empirical science has the answers to all social problems.”
Devine asks how we can create a framework to understand and regulate capitalism and yet provide “the moral restraints needed for social order, but still consistent with pluralist capitalism”? For Devine, it all comes down to a “moral legitimizing ideal” to legitimize the political order and the economic order.
And how are we going to do that?
I say that in the modern world there are three kinds of people, and they genuinely want and expect different things out of their lives and the world -- and different moral legitimizing ideals.
First of all is the elite: political, religious, economic: what I call Creatives. They are essential to any society: the political to protect against enemies, the religious to protect against evil, and the economic to direct production and exchange. Boy, are they trouble.
Then there is the middling sort of person, what I call Responsibles. These are ordinary competent people -- yeomen, commoners -- that take the world as they find it and live to make the most of what God has provided

Nationalism + capitalism = prosperity.
Globalism + capitalism = fascism and tyranny.
Individual Liberty and Capitalism unleash the human potential for greatness.
That combination has driven this nation to soaring prosperity and comfort.
But just like criminals who steal, we have a government filled with people who steal and is an entity that is more corrupt than the most dishonest business.
We do not need to worry so much about regulating capitalism or individuals. We need to worry about regulating government and the people who serve within it.
We allowed this to happen and it is destroying individual liberty and capitalism when we need them most because it will mean the end of our nation.
Why give them that name?
As a label, "Creative" has nothing but positive connotations for me. You say these people are the "Creatives"? Okay. Then, they are the Good Guys.
But they're not.
I would NOT call them "Creatives". What's wrong with "Elitists". You know: the people who just think they are better than You. The people who think they deserve to Rule over You. Your Masters. Your Overseers. Get a clue: They aren't the Good Guys.
Given the capabilities of a modern society, the Middle Class of Responsible people can (and must) manage their own affairs. Anyone who tries to set themselves up as a Master Class should be brought down hard. The political class especially. We need to decapitate society. It's rotting from the head.

When capitalism went global and off shored US prosperity is when they started or lose me. You can’t decouple nationalism and capitalism.
Capitalism is the worst economic and political system except for all the others.
Hard to take seriously someone who attempts to write on this topic but conflates elites with elitists.
A new subdivision of conservatism is just what's needed. Please place this mess alongside; paleoconservative, neoconservatism, fiscal conservative, compassionate conservative, moderate conservative, cultural conservatives, Gay conservatives, religious conservatives, Libertarian conservatives, Black conservatives, etc.
No more RINOs! Vote out every single last one of them who must face a primary in 2022. The RINO traitors who refused to enforce voter ID in 2020 and gave the Steal to the Vegetable are still in office. There will NEVER be voter integrity measures taken until they are purged. If these same traitors are returned to office in 2022, then the Dems will steal 2024 just like they did 2020.

There are two reasons for the off-shoring: 1) politicians increasing regulations and taxes on business and 2) the weak citizenry who purchase based on price alone instead of nationalism.
But the biggest reason for off-shoring is politicians who accepted bribes to allow it while regulating those businesses into moving.

Bail revoked if they commit another crime while on out on bail. The more violent criminals get Higher bail set. USE THE DEATH PENALTY TEXAS Style, no more 35 yrs waiting. DO IT IN FRONT OF THE COURT HOUSE WHERE TRIED!
