I was on a jury a few years ago for an attempted murder case. Jury instructions took a full 55 minutes. After about twenty minutes we all zoned out. You’d have to be a law school professor to understand all the nuances of these ‘instructions’. This was a jury of everyday citizens. Something’s wrong in the way justice is done in America, that was my take from the whole thing. Oh, and the trial ended with us deadlocked 7-5 for acquittal.

Ghislane Maxwell’s trial is apparently starting today but since it is being held in a federal court it will not be televised . . .
Defense asking judge to dismiss the case due to failure to prove.
Count six dismissed!
Which charge is that?
Possession of a deadly weapon under age 18
Gun charge
On the gun charge - the state just admitted it was a legal gun, although they were trying to put Kyle in jail for it! How can ANYONE admit they were trying to put someone in prison for a charge they KNEW he was innocent of?
TY! Can’t listen until 11. :-)
Someone referred to this as a lynching of Kyle Rittenhouse. It can be nothing else.
I’m following Atty Branca’s live comments here; https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/11/live-rittenhouse-trial-day-10-closing-arguments/
Live comments are just below the youtube video and take a few seconds to load. I’m not watching video.
Arguing the fuzzy pic now.
Judge: I don’t think I can give the jury an instruction on something I don’t see.
Talking about not being able to tell if Kyle pointed rifle at McGinnis before rosenbaum chased
The dismissal of the gun charge is huge. That is the only charge that the prosecution “might” have won.
If they thought he pointed it at the Ziminskis why didn’t they have the Ziminskes testify to that
Jydge is on the phone while the jury is coming in. Probably ordering Asian food...
They have the fuzzy pic that the judge himself is now saying can’t tell if pointed rifle at person. Just that there were people in that general direction.
Also huge. The gun charge was a misdemeanor so that wouldn’t even have affected Kyle’s 2nd amendment rights.
Judge is allowing that 11th hour pic as evidence, even though the prosecution couldn't defend the enlargement technique, but admitted it may be the undoing of the whole thing if it turns out the technology isn't reliable. Darn!!!
Has the judge excluded the fuzzy picture as evidence?
