Aseem Malhotra, a cardiologist and chairman of the Public Health Collaboration, a charity, noted how in war zones heart attacks and strokes often increased among civilians after the conflict had ended. He suggested that the impact of the pandemic might be creating a similar phenomenon, helping to explain a surge in heart attacks caused by partially blocked arteries in the west of Scotland, after lockdowns this year.

I only had 1 partial blockage but had a quad back in Feb ‘20. It was part of my post-Covid recovery. The idea was increase bloodflow to the heart to increase healing organ damage. This was back before they even had the test and it was called “Wuhan”. There were no protocols and the doctors were tracking the ‘mysterious virus’ that was damaging my organs. I asked the doctor why get a quad. He said why go thru it more than once? Just get ‘em all done one time. Eh, made sense. In hindsight, awesome decision. Super lucky to go thru that when I did.
